The primary questions I have in mind are. Keep in mind that this will deal very greatly with the storyline of what im planning.
1: Whatever happened to New Terra? Was it overrun by the blight completely? Or was there something that happened that stopped the blight?
2: I heard that both Eden and Plymouth starships got away? Any confirmation on this? I thought that the Plymouth starship was far from completion, and they had to hijack the Eden starship.
I know that the answers are different officially, but im looking for different answers.

Well, officially, Plymouth tried to hijack the RLV, but had to return it. Thus, Eden was the only one to make it off the planet. And the blight took over.
In my game, the blight did not take over, there are remnants of eden still on New Terra, and they are developing a solution for the blight. Microbe emerged because of the savants, Plymouth is still on the planet, Gemini is a recon team sent out by eden, but returned to see what happened and was outraged.
In Knux's, New terra was destroyed, and eden escaped. It takes place on different planets.
