Level more or less refers to your post count. It will never go above a member. In order to become a Global Moderator, or Administrator, you would have to ask for it. I am the one who sets what people can do what. This is for various reasons.

no such rank.

ranks are pointless, they encourage spam

never encouraged me too spam... yet i was always near the top (if not the top) poster.

it tends to helps new people cos then they know someone is a veteran of the forum, and they can ask them for help

ok i'm revise that... i was always near the top if not the top poster on the older forums (hey, if kevin had kept the NHCS open a month longer, i woulda probaby overtaken him).
course, thats just me... i mean, i don't try to get lots of posts... i just end up with a lot cos i try to give some piece of opinion or information when i can

Newbie: 0 posts
Member: 25 posts
Advanced Member: 50 posts
Senior Member: 100 posts
Outpost Civilian: 200 posts
Outpost Worker: 400 posts
Outpost Scientist: 1000 posts

At 300, you can create your own custom member title.

Note, however, this does not change your user group. You will not be able to access nor do any more at 1000 posts than at 0.

That would be kind of Military Ranks

At the moment they appear to be Civilian Rankings

Again, no need for ranks.....

It's pretty much good the way it is right now.

Especially: we won't change names like Global Moderator, Administrator. Otherwise people are likely to just get confused.
