This mission's a hard one, anybody have tips? Hard difficulty BTW.

The mission after Mission 4. :P
The one after the return to the original Eden colony.
Eden has volcanoes for the first time, and Plymouth has the Blight for the first time. I think Eden launches the EDWARD satellite and Plymouth gets Spiders.
My advice is just be quick and have a lot of stuff ready to kill with.

At what mark does the Blight come? I can relocate my base to be out of the lava flow pretty easily, but the cost in resources is such that I don't have any combat units and get wiped out when Plymouth sends those annoying RPGs and microwaves.

Don't worry about lava, just get some defensive units up and get resources comming in

The lava flow will kill one of your Tokamaks and stop you from mining some 3-bar rare ore deposits near the volcano.

and you find that important? get a geocon up

Yea, remember lava can only go on the really dark black land.
It wipes out a tokamak, that's all, don't mine up there at all unless you are desperate, because there's not a lot of time before the lava hits.
You have to get the rare ore as fast as you can go... start making a tube from the bottom of your base at the start, and get the miner ready (take the rare ore on the bottom of those little platforms at the bottom right.)
Get a lot of trucks on the rare ore route, cuz you have to make that spaceport, sulv, and satellite. As you're going start loading the trucks with the metals. If you do it all at the end, you may be in for a little "purple surprise" because it takes too long.
The blight comes in from the lower left, so keep stuff out of that area. It will take the mines at the bottom first, so you have to mine it as fast as you can.
I won the mission with seconds to spare once - the blight was getting the bottom part of my base (move prepared vehicles, etc to the north to avoid the blight)

alos, it might help to get some of your prepared vehicles above the lava ahead of time ;)

there is a compleate walkthrough for the campain game that came with op2, it tells you step by step what to do, although it dosnt depleate the thrill of the game any, it does alliviate the frustation alot lol

That mission was a close one (well i dunno on easy i played it on hard...)... It was night when the blight came, i almost have been infected at the end of level...

Beta: the prepared walkthrough sucks, it only lists it from the eyes of the people who created the game. There are a lot of things that you forget to mention when you know about them.
