Title: a little help?

anyone knoe what button it is that you push and when you push it to get into the start-up mode selection for windows?  I need to get on to a school computer in safe mode in order to fix a problem wit the network card.

F7 during the BIOS boot. Or was it F5... If all else fails, use F9.

or, if it is xp, type msconfig in run and tell it to boot in safemode. That is if you have admin access.

In windows i always thought it was 'F8; to enter the 'choose start up mode' and 'delete' or 'F2' to enter the bios.

Its f8, if you are running XP, then you have to press it at the BIOS boot up.

well, itwas F7 but it didn't help.  I opened it up and it turned out that the motherboard had shifted and gotten stuck, causing the network card to not fully be in.  it isn't securely in there, but at least the board can read the card.
