Hey everyone, I could use a little help here. I need to find all the old OP2 clan sites that are still active. If you know of any, please post them here.

Well my old clansite, shaseworld.cjb.net (http://shaseworld.cjb.net), is still up and running, and it has a pretty thorough links page that might actually have some live clansites on it somewhere.

CK9, if you get to the Dragon Clan site, and check for their links to other clans, you will some links even to the oldest of the op2 clans.
Most of these sites are probably down now, but I remember that the Tiger clan still had it pages up right until the end of WON, even though the clan had been dead for 2 years or so when WON ended.
Searching old clan sites will also give you some surprises if you check old members pages. It probably won't mean much to you but, for those who played a long time on WON, will be able to trace the old players back almost to the start of OP2 if the right Web Pages are up.
To Bad Kevin's page went down, because it contained an almost complete clan listing, of clans that had existed since Kev's page went up until he stopped updating it. (Basicly all clans with respect for themselves through the years of OP2 would be found on this page) Maybe he can still give them out if you contact him.
My old comp also have some URL's to some of the sites I guess.

Yeah, I was about to archive that page when the site went down...
anyone else ever notice how much more peaceful his forum seemed? I never noticed any major spamming there, everyone just seemed to respect his forums a lot more...it's kind of strange IMHO

I had an Outpost 2 clan on WON at one point in time... long time ago though. Does anyone remember the Vorlon Empire (VE) by any chance? Probably not, although I do remember it being listed on (when you guys say "Kevin" I'm assuming that's the NHCS website) the NHCS site.
I'm recreating my clan in "Freelancer". I'm planning on making it big, and span across a few different games. Also, I'm actually smart enough now that I can make a website for it. LoL. (The website is underway right now. I'm hoping to get it up and online before I go on vacation this Saturday.)

Kevin was a moderator I believe... I think that his name was "FoX".

Nope, Kevin was never a Mod.
However he held a respect from them because he had been around so long, and he knew most of them well I guess.

He used to play alot when I started playing in 98, but I think he stopped playing and was more concerned with trying to get the source code of some guys he knew in Dynamix. Anyways he came back some time before WON shut down, with some new maps, tested them, and then left forever.
He'd probably make it into the history books as one of the best and most devoted players in OP2.

I don't see the Black Dragon's listed (we were pretty big at one point). The site is inactive, but I see a lot of old clans that are inactive.

active means the site is working, inactive means i couldn't get it to load/it no longer exists

Well his forum's are mostly for Outpost 2 at least. The rest of the site just isn't finished.

It is still under construction. It isn't quite the OP2 site that you remember, but it is better than having nothing for their name.

lmao, they are working on layout at the same time as info. It would be best to get all the pages built first, then add graphicals like pictures and backgrounds

Hello, I thought I'd pop in and give a shout out for the Jedi clan. Long time no see! As I wrote in the newbies section,
I was one of the leaders of the old Jedi clan back in the day, going by:
Mistress Nomi [Jedi]£. I don't know how many of you remember that clan or its leaders, but I still see Masters Kadesh and Borden from time to time, and Master Kish is my brother, so I see him a lot! We were founded during the time KORT was still around, and if I remember right, Black Dragon separated from us to form their clan. I hope there aren't still hard feelings! Anyway, it's good to see at least a few references to familiar names and events. I read elsewhere that Snappy is doing well and is at an AirForce academy. Good for him!
I know we had a website for a while. Vader, one of our members, made one for us, but I don't remember what the URL was now. It's really a shame because it had our charter, the Jedi code, our member list, and other nostalgic information. I'm sure I have some of the information in hard copy somewhere (or maybe Borden does, as he was sort of our record keeper), but I don't have anything in front of me right now. Gosh, that was like, 7 years ago! Hard to believe so much time has passed. Ahh, those wre the best of times and the worst of times! Lots of conflicts within and without, but so many good memories, great gaming, and good friends.

May I advice all newcomers read up on his old clan site ? Lots of useful stuff there ;)
And check out the DC (Dragon Clan) Site. One of the best ever made for a OP2 clan in my eyes.

Yep, it's <PÅ> Hawk. For those who don't know me, I used to run a "newbie training" clan whose sole purpose was to train newcomers to the game. Us old guys like CK9 and Highlander (hi, High) were around for the old World Opponent Network, some have probably been around for the old SIGS service.
Clan sites are valuable resources and some double as a history book. What I'd really like to find is the OLD message forums for OP hosted by WON.net. A lot of stuff happened back in the day and even I am starting to forget. It's a long shot, but I thought I'd send that out.

Well, for those of you who might be interested, I downloaded all the clan sites that I could find links to and you can view them here:

You'll have to navigate the folders for now unfortunately.
Be warned, for the above link a lot of those sites have stupid / useless things like java applets, background music, and other annoyances.
I'm also sure some of them didn't copy properly (I used wget on the webserver to mirror the sites, so it won't copy all the applets, and some people used applets for links *groan*)
Also, stupid, useless Geocities has a 4MB / hour bandwidth limit, so I couldn't download all of the sites in their entirety.
Anyway, there is some useful information in there, maybe some useful files as well.
If you have any others that you find that you would like to add, let me know.

I had my clan website up at one time that had links too if i remember correctly. but i dont remember the address and i dont remember ever taking it down. so if someone finds it, let me know pls :) fyi i did that site way back when i was first learning html so it sucks so dont rip on me for it :)

I tried the old shadow clan website, but it was gone. there's a new shadow clan, and the opening page resembles the old shadow clan from op2, but once you go into the site, it's alot different

I really should re-make the version for my site...Thankfully, the wiki version is there, so I can just use that as a template of sorts :D

Well, I guess I still play from time to time.
Of the ones you ask,
Snappy: Was here once, think he was busy with military or job.. not sure about this
Cyan Panther: Haven't seen him since the days of WON basicly, and even when WON went down he had stopped playing. He was into re-writing some game at that time.
Rondt: Was here for a while. Played and all. Didn't fit in too well with the people who was here back then and left.
Lord Nikon: Disappeared along with WON. Somewhat before WON went down aswell
Hawk: Military last I've heard.
Falcon: Kept the PÅ site p for a while, but when the activity there dropped, she disappeared aswell(along with the site). As far as I know, nobody had her contact info, so kinda hard to dig her up.
Ambrose: Was busy with school and some band or something he was a part of. I talked to him on msn after WON, but he got me deleted/blocked now I think.
Otherwise Paco plays sometimes, Riledo was hangin about for some time.. though in any case, it's been a long time since I've sighted any old friendly faces from WON :(

Well, it's the story of any game I suppose Spike.
It just happens a bit faster with OP2 because it was never a popular game to begin with, and have always had a relatively small player base online :(
