Alright.

The amount of spam in the Shoutbox is getting out of hand. Every day when I look here, I see a page or more of just spam posts. (In History view)

I'll say this for the 20 millionth time, Please do not SPAM!

This is getting way out of hand. If I catch anyone spamming (one time is ok, but pages of spam? and repeat offenders?) from now on, they will be BANNED from using the shoutbox. Period.

I think I've said enough, and I'm sure the other admins agree.

I agree. And thus, I have remove the ability to use the font, color, and size tags in the shoutbox.

You may still use bold, underline, and italic, but I think the size and color tags brought about a lot of the spam.

It may seem like I'm being "harsh" or controlling, but I'm just trying to protect my investment. If you can't agree with that, then I ask you to leave.

That was really good.  I enjoyed that.  I hope Luweeg gets to here that.  That would probably be his theme song. LOL  :P  

And op2hacker I agree that the spam is really getting out of control.

I will never spam as long as I live! but........is there really a lot of spam in the shotbox? I didn't even know there was any! But I will never spam. :Luweeg:

I've noticed that 6 of my non-spam shouts have been pulled, and I've had to re-shout them.  ;)

I also noticed that 4 of my spam shouts weren't pulled. :huh:

If you want us to delete a shout and we're on, get in touch via PM or IRC.

Any Admin or Global Mod can do this.

I was workin on a mod to the shoutbox to make sure we don't get double shouts, but the power went off last night.. will work on it again tonight.

No.. not like that.. this is a check to make sure you don't hit refresh. In no way will it stop you from shouting two times in a row. It just makes sure we don't hit refresh on the shoutbox page.

yeh, but our community is small enough that we shouldn't have to have a system to deal with any spam-inclined people. heck we are all inteligent people, just remember to think before you post.

He means when someone posts a new shout, if they accidently click the button twice or refresh the page, 2 of the same shout can be made.

Usually, im used to only Moderators and Administrators only being able to use the shoutbox.

The spam from registered people is bad enough already.
