Title: When to switch to VS2019 toolset
Post by: Vagabond on February 12, 2020, 11:13:41 AM
I'm noticing most current developers are using VS2019 and the associated MSVC toolset.

I wanted to wait a while for VS2019 to stabilize before switching development over to it.

Is everyone satisfied that VS2019 is stable and ready to switch the repositories over to VS2019 and associated toolsets?

I'm happy either way at this point.

I switched months ago. AppVeyor has has it available in their CI build chain for awhile. It's also 2020 so I'd say you're safe. :D

Yeah, I've already gotten used to VS2019 for CI builds.

Have at it.

Cool,

I've started updating the different projects for the new toolset. No major issues so far..

I've been using VS2019 for a while now. I like it much better than VS2017.
