Do people still play this?? If so how do I play? i have not played since 2002 (10 years!) when won went down, then there was some small group that would play til it fizzled out. If people play how do I get in a game with them? If someone has messenger mine is skylar.heath@yahoo.com ;D

When we had IRC two years ago you could organize a game every few days. Some fridays we even got 4-5-Player matches together. Don't know how it works now though, I am still having issues with the new chat so I doubt I can join and look.

I try to hang out in the chatroom, but I'm on european time, so I might not always be present. If you wish we can schedule a game at a set time ?
Otherwise the chatroom is a bit empty these days. Sometimes there is surge of people for a while though..

Welcome back to new terra to our long-time no players. If you missed out on the community, then you were not a part of the New Haven Command Site forums hosted by keven ar at the time. A quick summary of the community: we lost won, we stuck to the forum for games, we lost the forum, we got a new forum, we got a corrupt admin, we got a new forum, we had a rift in the community because of a prank, we got a new forum,"we"did a shit ton of work to keep the game alive (removed the cheat codes along the way), and now we have the same forum but new software and a community of people who are no longer young enough to have time to post every day but who still enjoy playing when they can.
And since I was nobody special on won, I don't expect you guys to remember me.

We still do have some of them, and I think we have a backup of NHCS taken from archive.org for that matter, but it would be nice to have all of them instead of some of them

Hi, it has also been about a decade since I last played online. I just downloaded and installed OP2 1.3.0.5 which is supposed to have the internet interface included. When I select Multiplayer/Internet then Join or Create it asks for a Password. It doesn't seem to make any difference whether or not i type in a password, if i hit OK it takes me to the next screen. It displays my local IP address. However nothing I do beyond this point seems to have any effect. Can someone coach me on how to join or create a game? It also occurs to me I may simply be looking when no one else in the world is looking for a game, when is the best time of day to try?

If I'm not completely mistaking, the Outpost Universe game server interface is hidden under Multiplayer -> Serial (Serial multiplayer was removed for this purpose). There you can join and host games. However, you should note that it doesn't always work perfectly. Altough, if you want to find anyone playing, I recommend you join the OPU chat since no one really waits for days in empty server rooms. Organizing a game in advance works best though.

I think main thing would be to announce the event some time upfront, so that people would know there are others online at the time.
