{okay, before we begin, here's the rules:
1) keep the post with the story. It won't make any sence if everything were to suddenly change.
2) post a message that says poasting first, then edit it to have the actual post. This will prevent people from getting mad at eachother for messing up their post idea.
3) don't insult others because you think their posts didn't make any sence.
4) if someone posted something that could prematurly end the story, find a way around it. A popular use on me when I first started doing this type of thing was to make it be a dream
5) all side notes need to be encased in braces (these things-"{ }")
6) no double-posting unless it has been two days without any contributions from other posters

It was a late night in the OUF Comand Center. The few mods and admins who were still in this section of the colony had been busy with the endless job of maintaining the forum. It was a small colony, only 93 people, some of which never showed themselves. It had been an hour since xfir had gone to the residence compound to get some sleep. only Hacker, CK, and Philip were still up. Hacker had been keeping an eye on the factories all day, checking on the progress of the many projects being worked on. Philip, had been updating the history databanks, which had been hacked into for the third time. CK was only in charge of building stats. Sure he envied the others who had stuff like army control, but he knew his job was important to the stability of the colony. An alarm went off at Beta's station, the perimeter control. Philip ran over to check on it. "Bad news guys, there seems to be a new alliance against us." Hacker ran over to see what Philip ment. "Oh geeze! CK, go get x, he needs to see this. Take the scout parked outside, it will be faster." This was obviously not good. CK quickly put on the control suit and jumped into the scout that Lev had modified. Within seconds, he was outside the main residence. x and beta were waiting for him outside. "I got the alarm CK, get us there as fast as you can." The scout moved quickly, but that didn't help when it came to manuvering. The three heard an explosion from behind them. "Woa, something just blew the trade center x!" Beta looked with awe at the raging fire from the explosion. "We have to hurry before the new defence grid is raised around the Command Center!" It was no use, the sheilds were up the second the clony had been hit. The computer screen came alive next to xfir. "You three all right?" "Philip, get us a way in the CC now!" "sorry x, but I can't find a way, you guys are stuck out there." "Wait," beta yelled, "what about the garage that is still being constructed?" "Beta you insane genious, I haven't had prime put up the sheilding yet." "CK, isn't it on the far edge of the colony?" "Yes, so let's get moving." "Philip, get as many people up as possible, we need as many defensive vehicls as possible at that garage!" x paused and then added "Get some gaurds with the thro's hammer rifles at the tube to the trade center site. I hope nobody was in there." The sout raced off towards the incomplete structure.

When the scout reached the garage, CK, beta and xfir jumped down from the scout. They walked into the dock on the garage past the signs that said "Sector 30-G under construction. No Vehicles Allowed."
They kept walking until they reached a scratched metal door labeled "DANGER: Machinery in operation." beta said, "careful, it might still be running."
CK said, "no chance. once the shielding is put up around the cc all non essential activities that consume power are stopped to give the force field as much power as possible." with that, CK threw the door open. Inside were several large metal canisters, and looking closer at them, he noticed that written on one was "Danger: liquid Oxygen", and on another one was written, "Combustible: Solid hydrogen". CK thought it was reasonable enough, the hydrogen was used to power the powerplant on the vehicles, which would make sense for the garage (vehicles needed more hydrogen sometimes.) But he couldn't understand why there was oxygen... The vehicles didn't require oxygen to run.
He pointed this out to the others.
xfir, being curious, looked underneath the tank, and found a small metal door... he opened it. there was a pipe labeled "X30 Precision oxygen regulator".
He touched the fitting where the pipe came into contact with the tank. It was loose and moved as he touched it. He said, "I think someone put this in here recently.. the fitting is loose on the regulator".
beta said, "hmm, bomb making perhaps?" They suddenly realized someone had gotten in and was using the oxygen to feed the explosions.... and fires needed oxygen....
CK said, "ok, get into the next room... we have to get into the tube system before the fire spreads and destroys other things"
They ran thru the next door labeled "maintenence system". It was a long metal tube, going both ways. the way to the right had a small pipe at the end. xfir had worked on the tube system before in the colony, and there would always be extra length on the tubes in case they got flooded with gas... the pipe would discharge the gas into the atmosphere.
So they ran down to the left.. There were many red doors labeled with numbers, but they couldn't open them, because they required a maintenence token, which none of them had.
Suddenly, beta's pocket savant rang. it said, "colony evacuation modules are being activated. all non essential structures will be isolated to prevent contamination in 10 minutes"
They looked at each other, and realized that they had made a horrible mistake. they would be trapped inside the tunnel in 10 minutes.
Then xfir said, "we have to get into the electrical and piping systems."
CK and beta both said, "why's that?"
xfir said, "that shaft is not isolated as well as the civilian tubes. It has seals on it, but you can punch through them from the inside to gain access into the tube infrastructure."
beta said, "How do we get there?"
x said, "get to the power transformer in this building, if they installed that yet. if it hasn't been installed, we have no way to get out. We'll have to find a door that gets into the transformer area of the building."
They said, "ok" and kept moving down the tube, looking for a door that would take them to the transformer.

{oh boy, posting in two stories at once. Hacker, don't forget yourself, philip, and the members who need to get the thro's hammer rifles.}
This was not normal for CK, electrical systems were not what he worked in. "x, I'm going to go to the scout real quick, there are three of the rifles in there." What he didn't tell x was that he also had a bow in there. Suddenly, he heard voices.
"Quickly, we have to get in this vehicle. I have detected some powerful weaponry in it!"
CK slowly took out the welding lazer he kept with him. He never understood why he kept it with him until now.

In the CC, Hacker and Philip were frantically assembling the security teams. Both of them had two of the rifles in their hands. they needed more people there to help lead the troops.

Phil and Hacker were quickly calling the people from the colony that were most fit for militia action. Outside you could hear the rumbling of the Evac transports rolling up to the CC.
Suddenly, the savant in the CC bleeped, and a message said, "5 minutes remaining to colony isolation."
Hacker was not paying attention when the first message had triggered, and thought, "oh no, if the isolation system triggers it will totally screw up our plans." Philip said, "We have enough people now... get the thor's hammers by that TC!"
Hacker reached over to the savant console and tapped several icons. He said, "The thor's hammers are en route from the RCC and will be there in 2 minutes."
Phil said, "ok.. I'll get these people out into the tube system..." Hacker said, "but the isolation system. if they're in there, the system will trigger and they'll be stuck."
Phil said, "Is there any way to disable the activation system?" Hacker replied, "No. the boptronics are hard wired to seal off the tubes in case of a problem."

"Is there at least a way to delay the isolation sequence?" "Yes, but only by another ten minutes. You'd have to make it all the way to the RCC."
Philip was out the door before Hacker could say any more.

Meanwhile, CK and the others were still deep in the maintenence tunnel, listening to the voices.
"What kind of weaponry is it?"
"It appears to be a Thor's Hammer, modified... The power transformer has had coils added to it... it appears this person was trying to increase the strength of the thor's hammer."
"Will our gasses be safe?"
CK immediately thought, oh no, they're talking about the oxygen and hydrogen in that room
"Yeah, as long as we get this vehicle out of here before the isolation triggers!"
Then, suddenly there was a whoosh, and a heavy rumbling that shook the whole facility.
The 1st voice said, "Oh crap! The detonator is going off! We're going to die!"
CK couldn't take it anymore.. He had to find a way back to the scout without being found by the men with the voices.
He whispered ever so silently to xfir and Beta, "Move back... I'm going to rip through this tunnel with the laser and see if we can get out thru a hole or something."
With that, he aimed the welder at the smooth metal wall, and pulled the trigger.

Hacker was frantic. He thought, If Phil doesn't get there in time, the isolation system will trap him in the tube complex!
Suddenly, a bell rang, and a mechanical voice said, "4 minutes remaining to isolation."
Hacker immediately grabbed the red telephone, connecting him to all the PA systems in the colony, and spoke, "This is an emergency. I repeat, this is an emergency. All civilians and non essential personnel please proceed to the nearest air lock to enter an evacuation transport. Please proceed immediately. Code 20-A3." He slammed the phone down.
Then he punched several icons on the computer, connecting him to Philip's savant, and typed: "Philip, I've called a 20-A3. Get to the RCC as fast as possible.. I'll open the bay so you can get inside. Once inside, get to the console and command the thor's hammers to attack the boptronics module in the center of the colony. This will bring the systems down, and it will take them extra time to repair themselves and continue the isolation procedure." He tapped the Send icon.
A few seconds later he got a message back. "Recipient not trackable. Message not delivered."
A bell rang again and the voice said, "3 minutes remaining until isolation."
Hacker screamed at the computer in rage.

In the mean time, the militia force led my philip was making good time to the RCC. Philip thought to himself "i hope hacker was able to override the isolation system, or else this whole thing will have been for nothing."Then his pocket savant said increadibly calmly "Message attempt has been initaited. Attempt has failed." "If that was from hacker, we can expect the worse for not recieving it." Then plymoth45 asks "sir, could i see that?" "well, since it isn't any use to me at the moment, here." Plymoth goes to work almost imediatly recalibrating the recieving mecanism, and then suddenly, the savant says, message recieved. "Let me see that plym." "yes sir, here."
Philip, I've called a 20-A3. Get to the RCC as fast as possible.. I'll open the bay so you can get inside. Once inside, get to the console and command the thor's hammers to attack the boptronics module in the center of the colony. This will bring the systems down, and it will take them extra time to repair themselves and continue the isolation procedure.
When the militia team got to the RCC, philip did exactly wht hacker had told him to do.

In the tunnel, CK, Beta, and xfir were making good time.. CK had finished ripping a "hole" with the laser into the heavy gauge metal, revealing the sub structure underneath the building.
They looked down into the hole, revealing the dimly-lit subfloor several meters below. Beta whispered, "We have to climb down THERE?"
Xfir and CK said, "yes." They had not heard the men for a while. CK figured it was safe to climb into the hole. They jumped down into the hole, making a dull thud on the shiny untouched metal below.
Once they were down safely, xfir and beta stuffed the metal piece that was cut from the wall back into the hole to cover their tracks. CK spot welded it back on.
Xfir then said, "ok.. We have to be very quiet, and move very slowly because the computers will detect if something has invaded the sub structure. This was because the designers of the system were afraid that bioagents or chemicals could be released into the subfloor, poisoning the whole sector. If the computers do detect us, it will start a procedure that will slowly desiccate, and eventually incinerate the subfloor. It will also pump all the air out to prevent further contamination."
Beta said, "will we be ok?" CK said, "if you don't make comments like those and just be careful you'll be perfectly fine."
Suddenly, the lights went out.

In the CC, the bell rang again, and the voice uttered, "2 minutes remaining until isolation."
Suddenly, a message popped up on hacker's computer that read: "Message DW9503: routed successfully. Recipient has acknowledged receipt of message."
Hacker finally relaxed. He was certain Philip had gotten the message.
Then immediately after the popup was closed, the computer screens went black and read, "Computer core compromised. NO FUNCTION."
Then the bell made a low growling, and the mechanical voice said, dying, "Isolation sequence---p-a-u-s---e----"
It never finished saying the words.
Hacker rejoiced, knowing Phil had shut the central module down.

CK started thinking about who it could be doing this. "Hey, x, shouldn't we get to the CC? sure if these guys get a hold of the rifles it could be deadly to the colony, but we can't fight the unknown." "What are you suggesting?" "I'm saying that you need to get to the CC. Beta and I can catch up after we get the rifles." "Wait, why should I risk my neck for a few rifles when the entire defense squad is going to be looking for us?" "Because you'll have two for a while." Beta's eyes widened. No mod had been trusted with two of the rifles before. Xfir pulled CK aside. "Are you insane!" "Listen, your safty is more imperative than ours right now. That's the safest plan for you I came up with." CK dropped the lazer welder into x's hand, grabbed beta by the arm, and ran for the exit, leaving xfir stunned.

In the meantime, Philip and his militia team were moving through the tube system at an increadible speed looking for any sign of xfir, CK9, or beta, even though they had to use flashlights to get around without being to slow, they were still covering plenty of ground. When they got to the garage, they saw the scout and headed towards it. Then they heard voices.
"Arm urselves, this could get narly." "Yes sir, armed and ready."
"You fools, watch the gas, you might kill us all if you drop that. WATCH IT ALREADY!!!!"
"Alright team, it looks like we are going hand to hand combat. We can't risk hitting any of those gas canisters, if we do, we may have killed the whole colony. The advantage we have is the element of suprise, if we can move quick enough, we will be able to take them out before they have a chance to react. Good luck. Ok, we are going to split into groups, half of you with Plymoth, the rest of yo are with me. Plymoth, take your team to the other side of the garage, then we can sandwinch them." "Yes sir."
The two teams split, and when Plymoth's team got to the spot that CK9 had spot welded the plate back on, One of the team members noticed that it had been cut. "Sir, we may have already failed the colony, this plat has been removed and spot welded back." "Shoot, that is a bad sign." "Plymoth to Philip, there is a plate over here that has been spot welded with what looks like a laser welder, please advise."
On the other side of the garage, Philip got Plymoth's message and messaged back, "Ignore it for now, we can deal with it after we take out the enemy."

Meanwhile in the CC life moved at a sluggish pace, since the computer core had not self repaired yet.
Then garrett walked into the CC. He went to Hacker and said, "why are all the lights off in the colony?"
Hacker sighed and said, "This is going according to plan.. I can't tell you about all of it, but it has to do with the isolation procedures."
garrett said, "alright." He gave Hacker a small plastic card and walked out without a sound.
Hacker looked at the card. It was labeled "Data Card." He decided he wanted to see what it was. He inserted it into the card reader on the computer and the screen flashed and lit up. The computer was rebooting. Hacker wondered, Why on earth would he give me a bootable data card? Those are only needed in emergencies.
The computer screen flashed again and the screen read, "Bootmaster 20X.... Working..."
Then suddenly a voice message said, "Boptronics module infected."
Hacker immediately called garrett via radio... garrett knew more about the current boptronics units, because he was the primary researcher for the new system that they would use, codenamed "Outpost 3".
garrett answered, "Yes?"
Hacker said, "This is Hacker. About that data card you gave me...."
garrett interrupted, "I found it on the floor."
Hacker said, "WHAT?! I loaded that card. It has a bootup module on it. Now the boptronics module is infected."
garrett said, "Good going. That data card probably had code for proteins. Now the computers just made their own virus."
Hacker said, "Huh? How is that possible? Code is isolated from proteins."
garrett said, "It is possible to get into the low level machinery that translates proteins, at boot up time. That would explain the boot module on the card. It probably contained code for a virus, and now the machines have executed this code, and made viral enzymes."
Hacker swore under his breath. He finally told garrett, "But it shouldn't work! I had the computers damaged earlier to prevent the isolation sequence from happening."
garrett said, "Well, it wasn't totally disabled... But the biological components' immune responses are lowered from it. Now that virus will probably manifest, where under normal circumstances the computers would destroy any infection and be able to fully heal within a few microseconds. But now, it will overtake the computers. Within a few hours it will probably damage the life support mechanisms, and this will affect everyone that is currently in the colony."
Hacker said, "Get the people out of here. Call an evacuation. EVERYONE HAS TO LEAVE." {on the line: mechanical bleep}
garrett: "The vehicles can't be teleoperated anymore. The virus has damaged the RCC support computers. The only way to move the evac transports is to get someone physically to them and drive them."
Hacker screamed louder than he ever had in his life, "F***!!"

CK and Beta were in the scout. "Where is it CK?" "Hold on!" CK removed a fllor pannel and revealed three thro's hammer rifles. Only one of them had a shoulder strap still, the only one CK was able to hide from philip during his modifacations. He handed Beta the two others, shouldered his, and removed a second floor pannel, which hid his own secret. it was loaded with a whole bunch of weaponry from Earth. "CK, was it safe for you to hide those here?" Picking up an M-79 and examining the barrel, CK finaly replyed "No, but as long as there is a need..." He then grabbed his bow and arrows with special explosive tips kept in a case. "If we have to fight, we must sink to their level."

xfir was almost to the junction between the CC and the factories. He hadn't been down this way in a long while, and certainly didn't remember which was to go. All the on site maps were down, all of which being computerised. There were sounds down to the left of the security vehicles. No telling how they were effected, so it was saffest to go off to the right. Unfortunatly, the left was one of only two ways to get to the CC. The right led to all the factories, ending at the DIRT that was assigned to them.

Xfir sighed as he looked up at the red stenciled letters "DIRT" on the bulk head.
He knew he was running out of time.
Suddenly, a klaxon began screaming a high pitched note.
Then the voice of Hacker spoke over the siren, saying, "The computer core is infested. EVERYONE that is still in the colony must proceed to the nearest exit. I repeat, EVERYONE must proceed to the nearest exit. If you fail to do so, you may die. The life support systems will fail very soon."
Xfir immediately turned around and ran down the tunnel in the opposite direction, trying to get to the vehicle factory. He figured he could process an order to create a scout or other light vehicle, so he could get out.

Meanwhile, it was frantic at the CC. Everyone was rushing trying to shut the machines down.
Hacker sat down next to the computer console again, one last time before the computer would be shut down, and accessed a command prompt.
He entered "BOP MAKE PROTEIN MET,SER,ASP,(STOP)". This was the command to create a protein, the building blocks of biological life, and the boptronic computers, too.
The protein contained the amino acids methionine, serine, and asparagine.
Hacker had done research on boptronics and knew that the computer's structural proteins contained amounts of serine and asparagine.
{note: this is accurate to real life in how proteins work... all proteins start with methionine. As far as the structural stuff, I'm not sure totally.}
The computer returned the message "BOP ACK PROTEIN MET,SER,ASP,(STOP)" meaning it understood the command and would try to manufacture the protein.
Then he typed "BOP REP LAST FOREVER". This told the computer to repeat the last instruction forever. Hopefully, it would work and the computer could regain strength.

In the scout, CK and beta sat. Then beta had an idea. "Forget the rifles, we got ourselves a big weapon here! We could just ram the place with the scout!"
CK said, "well, it's worth a try"
He pressed the start button. There was a buzzing sound as the coils that initiate the fusion reaction filled with energy. Then a click, then nothing.
CK said, "It won't start."
Beta said, "try again." So CK pressed the button again. Nothing, not even a click.
CK said, "They already got to the scout. Probably couldn't get in, but they damaged the engine. The reactor won't get hot enough to start now."
So they grabbed the rifles, and jumped down from the vehicle. They were immediately confronted with small drones carrying Thor's hammers devices.

{okay, here's what's going on:
It was a quiet day, everyone was relaxed and only three of the staff were in the CC. Something came up on Beta's console, but he was in his residance room. CK went out to get xfir and Betaray, and on the way back to the CC, the Trade Center was blown up. They are trying to get to the CC to figgure out who it is that is doing this (which I will reveal in this post), but then the isolation sequence started. (BTW, x if you can get the spell checker back up it would be very helpful) CK, x, and Beta have found where the attacks are being organised from. CK convinced xfir to try to make it back to the CC before the isolation sequence completes. CK and Beta went to get the rifles and other supplies from the scout. Philip and plymouth, along with their squadron, have gotten to the unfinished garage. A virus has entered the Boptronics and a complete evacuation has been ordered. x is going to the vehicle factory to see if he can get some fast vehicle made quickly (that fells a bit redundant :mellow: ). CK and Betaray are now cornered by a whole mess of drones carrying thro's hammer devices of their own.}
As x was working on the almost malfunctioning computer, a side window poped up. "x, This is Hacker speaking. I recorded this message ahead of time to tell you what's going on. It has been activated by your access code. We have found that our worst enimies have joined forces, the Xkr-Killer combo, and Sierra HQ. They have already started attacks and..." The message was vut short by static. x knew he had to act fast to save the colony.

As xfir ran down the corridoor to the velichle factory, the doors behind him began to close. The corridoor was sealing, and would soon be completely isolated. xfir knew he had to get out of there fast.
A quick right turn took him to the entrance to the velichle factory's underground harbor. He keyed an access code, saw the message from Hacker, and rushed into the factory.
No lights meant that he tripped over near anything that had been knocked over by the explosion of the trade center. A small light in the corner of the room attractted xfir's attention.
He approached and saw none other than an active bomb. He panicked and nearly knocked a machine tool over. He regained his calm and set to work disarming the bomb.

Hacker watched as everyone scrambled about trying to figure out what to do. He took order and began directing certain people to get evacuation transports and bring them back to the CC and residence.

CK told Beta, "stay quiet. I don't think they see us yet."
Suddenly a buzz came from the nearest drone.
CK screamed, "GET DOWN! GET DOWN!"
Luckily the bolt missed them and hit the roof.
CK and Beta cocked the rifles and started firing at the drones. The drones appeared to be modified spiders, because they were legged, moved very fast, and died with one hit.
Then Beta acknowledged this, "They look like spiders..... Oh crap, if they are spiders, if someone has an EMP weapon they could reprogram us!"
CK said, "EMP only disrupts electrical circuitry, not biological circuitry." Beta breathed a sigh of relief.
Then, they looked up and saw more shots from the left. It was plymouth, phil, and the militia! They watched as the militia battled their now seen enemies. They were XKR and Killer.
Beta gasped. "Oh no, not them again..... They deleted my post back on Earth, now they'll delete me..."
CK said, "SHH! do you want to be seen by them???"
Suddenly the shooting stopped. Xkr and Kiler were nowhere to be found. Only Phil, Plymouth and the militia group remained.
CK and Beta waved, trying to attract Phil's attention. Phil saw them and ran over. He said first to plymouth, "Get going to the transports, and get these people safe."
He then turned back to the scout. He said, "Are you two alright???" They answered, "Yes. Well, are we?" Phil said, "If those, those, two men don't come back." Then he said, "Hey, do you know anything about a plate taken off of the maintenence shaft by the machine room?" CK said, "Yes. We had to get in the substructure to get out." Phil said, "Ok. Well, start this scout up and let's get out of here." CK said, "Fusion reactor's gone on it."
Phil said, "It was them. It has to be. They've done more than meets the eye."
Suddenly they heard a bell from far away, and a voice said very faintly, "Boptronics compromised. Infection level too great. Shutting down primary systems."
All three said, "what was that?"

In the CC, Hacker had gotten everyone out to the transports. He stayed behind to take care of what was left.
He had heard the message, and realized he would have to leave soon before the atmosphere degraded to New Terra's composition, making it unfit for humans.
He went to the computer console again, having an idea.
Maybe he could pump oxygen back into the colony. He went to the command prompt again, and typed this:

He took the printout and stuffed it in his pocket. Then he looked around the chaotic CC for the last time, and left for the transports.

"We have to get to x! If that's what I think it was, he's in a lot of trouble." The four ran to the garage as the troops went out to secure an imaginary perimeter. There was no sound coming from the tube system. None of the four were used to this and it gave them a chill down their spines. They walked down the tunnel a ways, then a blast came from behind, the shockwave from which knocked them all off their feet. They were instantly trapped in the tubes as the door shut behind them.{You know, these are normally supposed to be funny, but with how this is turning out, I'm going to have to change the name}

"Okay, just a few more connections and...done. Now to get to the computer relay and get a scout made, and fast." x was now covered in a strangle liquid that he wasn't quite sure that he wanted to know the name of. Suddenly, there was a rumbling and a hloe was ripped into the factory. The door sut tight locking him in. He had to work fast on the bypass codes.

op2hacker climbed into the almost full transport. There was 1 seat open in the back, and he climbed into it.
After the transport started moving, everyone settled into a routine of reading, sleeping, or doing something else. Hacker pulled out his printout. He looked it over. He had printed it in haste, he didn't even know what a "Vacuum Cleaner" was. He gritted his teeth as he looked over the schematics... Large, bulky outdated parts. And absolutely no biological components. He wondered how they made it way back when on Earth.
He read from the top.
It read:
Vacuum Cleaner. This model contains HEPA filtration to remove particles up to 10 microns in diameter.
He frowned. 10 microns? Now, it was illegal to produce filters that allowed particles bigger than .07 microns to pass.
He looked through the rest. He couldn't understand how it worked.
"Hot? Neutral? Ground? what type of electrical system is this? The current electrical system is, Even, Odd, Data, Power."
He put the plans in his pocket in disgust. But he knew, they held the secret.

CK and the others thought, "What do we do???" They were trapped.. The only way out, was again, CK's welder. CK pulled it out and prepared to burn thru the wall. Phil said, "STOP!" CK said, "What?" Phil said, "These walls release radiation when tampered with. You'll kill us with that." CK frowned. They were stuck. Then suddenly the loudspeaker said in a very raspy metallic voice, "This system is now under computer control. It will be self destructed in 30 minutes. If you are human, you MUST contact EJR3/B to be released from the system."
Phil pulled out his computer, and ented EJR3/B as the recipient of his message. He tapped Send.
A few seconds later, the speaker said, "All quadrants being opened. Please stand by."
The floor heaved and shook. The doors opened about 6 inches, then there was a loud scream of tearing metal. The doors stopped moving.
CK said, "See if you can crawl under the door, Beta."

Xfir had it. He tapped the Build icon and watched the machinery operate below.
Suddenly, he heard the scream, too. The machinery stopped moving.
He tapped the icon again. Nothing happened. Then the computer console went black. It was pitch black.

"It's no use CK, I can't fit!"
"I hate to do this, but..."
CK pulled out one of the explosive arrows and aimed it at the door in the direction of the CC.
"Everyone, cover your ears!"
The arrow launched with amazing speed and the emergency doors blew apart.
"Philip, I'm going to get to the CC to see if I can redirect power. Try to get that door open while I'm gone." He paused. "Beta, see if you can find x."

Beta said to Phil, "Well, before we can get anywhere we have to get these doors open."
Phil said, "Hmm, well, dig through that scrap pile - that was once the door, and see if you can find something sharp enough to gouge metal." {CK had departed with the welder and arrows}
Beta dug thru the pile. Suddenly, he stopped. He said, "Phil, come look at this!"
Phil walked over. Beta was holding a green credit card-looking object. It was labeled with the words, "Access override system. To use: Swipe card and dial 400FG on minicomputer."
Phil looked at his computer.. He happened to have one of the old type that had an "expansion" board slot. He wondered if that would accept the card.
He said, "Beta, give me that card. I want to see what it does."
Beta handed him the card. Phil inserted it into the expansion slot and looked at the display. It flickered, going into a text-mode display mode.
The screen read, "Reading expansion board. Please wait."
The message disappeared then it read: "Memory mapped, now reloading the firmware."
The screen flashed several times then the computer restarted to it's normal startup screen. Phil said, "I hope this works." He tapped the "call" icon and entered the number: 400FG.
Tapping the send icon, he waited as the messaging system processed the command.
Suddenly there was a loud vibrating tremor.

a voice came over the sound system: 'Self Destruct sequence initiated, t-10 minutes'
"I'll never make it there like this!"
CK transforms into his other form, something he promised x he would never do in the colony.
"I'm sure this is an exception to his rule about this!

There was still one transport, piloted by Plymoth waiting for the senior command group to get out of the colony, but Plym didn't think they were going to make it. He hoped that Phil still had his mini computer, cause that was the only way to comunicate with anybody in the dying colony. Plym typed up a message and sent the message to phils minicomputer, but with the colony the way it was, there was no way to get conformation that the message was recieved.
In the tube system, CK in his other form was almost to the CC when the tube in fron of him collapsed. "Oh great, I guess there is only one way to get through this mess."

as plym started up the vehicle, he saw a bright flash and the main systems went out. "Dang!"
Back in the building where xfir was frantically working:
"Darn you CK! I told you not to do that."
xfir pulled out his comunicator and typed in the communications override code.
"When I get him to answer..CK, wtf are you thinking?"
'sorry, but I was trying to keep the pressure stable in here. I had no choice.'

Back in the Evac, "oh great, he blows through the tube, and fries my transport, i'm gonna get you for that ck," Plym mutters under his breath while unstrapping himself from the transport. Once he had gotten out, he started to head to the vec fact to try to build a new one when Xfir's scout comes barreling out at top speed, almost hitting Plym.
Then xfir taps the stop command and the scout screeches to a halt. "Need a ride Plym?" "might be nice, since CK fried my transport, bout to me with it."

CK took out his laser cutter and put up a weak em feild
"I hope I can make this work, I'd hate to run out of air..." turns on communicator "x, get out of here, I'm going to try to get some extra resources together as well as some structure kits and the defense team." turns off the dcomunicator before x can respond and cuts through the tube.
"now to get to the CC and get all the factories working. where's beta when he'd be useful?"

CK breaks through the window of the CC and sets the em feild where the glass once was.
"What the heck are you two still doing in the colony?"

"Wait, don't tell me. If you're trying to stop the self-destruct sequence, it's useless. Selfdestruct set it up, and he's the only one that know's it's weakness. Since you're here, get the factories online, we need all the resources we can get together in-"
"T-7 mminutes"
"Talk about perfect timing..."

Kiith went to work on it. CK turned to Zeus and asked "Where have you been all this time?"
Zeus answered, "I've been trying to get here. Between the force field coming up, count down sequences and everything else, it's been crazy. I was just able to find my way here and found Kiith trying to shut down the SD sequence."
I'll try to help Kiith if there isn't anything else.

"Just get the suplies together. I'll maintain the atmospheric stability as long as I can."
CK noticed a rather large piece of sheet metal and got an idea.
'let's see...If I can keep the feild up and grab onto the metal, I might be able to get it in place and weld it on, then look for some more to patch up the hole...'

Kiith works hard to get the factories online,
And within a few minutes he succeeds, both the Vehicle factory 01 and Structure Factory 01 are online.
"T-5 Minutes" the comm. said
Kiith runs as fast as he can the Command Center and tries to hack the SD Codes.
But time is running out.

"kiith, you to get the other 6 factories producing what we'll need to start a new colony. As soon as thiss last piece is over the hole and welded I'll try to buy us some time. There is one thing I can try..." as he said this, CK puled out a small esg grenade.
kiith found the auto-restart codes and got the other factories working. With three kits and five vehicles being built at once, it would still take more time than they had.
"just give the factories each a seperate list of things to build one at a time. I almost have the weild done..."

Before CK could finish the comm chirped "T-4 Minutes".
Zeus started seperating each of the things to be built and started sending the list to each of the factories with a header "If this isn't done yesterday then your working too slow."
Zeus saw the grenade in CK's hand and asked him, "What the hell are you going to do with that Grenade?"

"Well, the self destruct sequence activater is part of the boptronics mainframe. If we can temporarily damage it, the sequence might freeze while it repairs itself."
the last spot was welded in place and CK opened up the mechanicle hatch.
"Just get the resources, get the defence teams into some of the vehicles, and get out of here. If I'm not done before you have to leave, have a scout waiting 50 meters away from the colony."
Zeus sent out a message to phil and the squad telling them to get to pne of the factories immediatley, then started working on by-pass proceedures to get everything constructed faster
"T-3.5 minutes"

"Reports from the various teams report that we are 68% complete. That would put us 20 seconds past the countdown. I hope that your plan to slow it works, or we may not be ready."
Zeus then went back to coordinating everything with all the factories to make sure that everything was good to go. He looked over at Kiith with a determined look on his face as if to say, "We're going to make it."

Kiith Replies "I hope your right Zeus" as he works franticly to deactivate the Self Destruct.
"T-3 Minutes"

Hearing Kiith's plea made Zeus think to himself, This is for real. We could die here today. I don't know why it hasn't come to me before. But I can't slow down, I have to work harder and faster to make sure that we're ready.
"Hey, when have I ever been wrong......On second thought, don't answer that."
Kiith just looked at Zeus with a grin upon his face and then went back to work.

The two heard an explosion with an electronic sizzle, then saw the maintanance hatch blow off the hinges. The countdown timer stopped and a new message came up:
"Main bobtronic mainframe damaged, self repair sequence activated. All other boptronic functions suspended."
they looked to eachother then down at the factory status. the factories were still building, but had slowed down a bit. At that moment, philip and his team of defence soldiers walked in.
"What the #**% was that sound?"
"why did you just say number astris astris percentage?"
"CK blew part of the bobtronics to give us some time, but it looks like he wasn't expecting that much power."

Zeus said under his breathe, "He always has to make to make sure everyone know's he's around."
Looking around and noticing that no one heard him he told Philip, "What are you doing right now? If you can be spared then you will be. Go help with the manufacturing of the goods needed to get us the hell outta here."

The grenade was set, but there was something wrong. The original plans for the CC distinctly showed a way out of the maintenance room other than the hatch. There wasn't time to climb up the ladder, and the grenade couldn't be stopped. CK started running toward the exit, when the floor colapsed beneath him and the grenade went off, covering up the hole with debris.
"Well, looks like I found it, now if only that pipe didn't break my fall."
CK looked arond, but it was useless, the tunnel led strait down with wires hanging down from the pipe and was darker than the New Terra night. The only thing to do was to climb down.

Zeus looked around and asked outloud, "Does anyone know what happened to CK9? I thought that he'd come back after he set off the grenade." Just then a report came from one of the factories..."
"Sir, we ran into a problem while making an agridome....."
Zeus asked frantically, "What the hell is it, we we're going to finish just in time anyways, we don't have time for delays."
The worker replied, "It can't be helped, one of the gear's on the factory line broke, it's gonna take at least a couple of minutes to replace it."
Zeus thought to himself, That would put us to damn close for comfort, but worrying about it won't make things go faster. He replied, "Just hurry as fast as you can, and keep me updated.""Kiith how much longer do we have till this thing resumes countdown?"

"It seems like it's about halfway through the repai cylce."
"Hey, wait a minute, I'm the senior officer here, I'll take command."
philip (his old screen name was Philipu or something like that, and now it's OP2PARIOT) gave ZuesBD a very stern look. There was no time for arguments, they had to get the bump (sorry, couldn't help it) out of there. Another voice came over the speakers:
"Microbe units in violation of the limiting boundry treaty"
"Great, just what we need!"

CK, after making a crude harness and finding which of his many pockets his carabeener(it's a tool for rock climbing and rappeling. If anyone needs a picture of one to know what I'm talking about, PM me.) and eight plate( another tool, looks like a figure-8) were in, started down the tube.
"Man am I lucky that gloves are part of the standard issue uniforms."

"You know, Sir, I mean no disrespect but, if you were working instead of just standing there, we'd get done a lot faster. I have a job to do here and I can't be slowed down by anyone. Now please go help them at the factories."
With this he turned back to the panel that he was working at. Philip thought about protesting but decided against it. He'd deal with Zeus after everything was done. He headed out of the room shouting order's to everyone standing around.
Kiith looked over at Zeus and said, "You know that he's going to break you in half when this all done, right?"
Zeus looked over, grined and then went back to work.

phil was not pleased. his team which had gone through months of training were reduced to construction. Beta walked up to him.
"I'm going to get the modified scout over here, maby it will come in handy on our journey."
"Go on, get out of here. Just watch out for the microbe vehicles, they're getting closer."

CK reached the bottom of the shaft and got a bit hungry.
"Where did I put those 'Munchies'?"
He reached into pocket after pocket (modified moderator uniform, 20 pockets :D ) and what he found got him angry
"A flashlight! Why couldn't I have found this earlier?!"

"T-2 minutes" (man that was a long minute)
Zeus commed over to the factories for another update. He looked at Kiith, "Are you having any luck over there?"
Kiith looked at him with a disgruntled look on his face. "I'm trying my hardest, but I can't get the damn thing to work."
Zeus said to Kiith in a calming voice, "It's okay, we're going to make it outta here. I have faith in X, Beta, and yes, even CK9. We are the best trained worker's on this planet and it looks like we're going to make it just under the wire."
This didn't seem to calm Kiith down any as he went back to work.
Zeus thought to himself, Some people just can't be helped and went back to work.

Phil went to the nearest factory, found the guy in charge and asked where he could help. The worker replied, "Sir, we are about done here. If you could please help load the products onto the Convec's and send some of your people to check on the other factories. Some of them are not quite as far as we are in their production.

Betaray jumped into the scout and started to drive it to xfirs last known location. He turned around and saw what was left in CK's hidden compartment: a railgun rifle (as seen on the movie ' Eraser '), an EMP grenade, and a stickyfoam shell.
"Well, at least the microbe units won't be much of a problem."

CK looked around and noticed some mining vehicles.
"Woa, I've got to record this. this used to be a mining site. But why didn't the serveyor show a becon?"

Zeus looked out the one remaining window and saw Beta driving away. He thought to himself, I hope that he makes it in time. Zeus looked at the hole that CK climbed into. He walked up to it and yelled down at CK "How's it going down there. What do you see? We are about done and we need to be getting out of here real soon."
He walked back over and checked a panel. 91% complete. He thought aloud, "We're going to make."

CK heared a faint call from above, then felt something hit him over the head (something that was quite common in one of the MH's I've been in) and lost all sence of time and location, as well as conciousness)

"No sir, not a clue."

all of a sudden, the computer made another anouncement: "coection to detonater lost. Countdown in standby."
"It won't fo me any good to lose the structures."
kiith and Zeus turned to see someone neither had ever seen before, and he was holding one of phil's thro's hammer rifles.
"Both of you, in the corner, it would be fun to kill you, but I need you for negotiations."
another person walked in.
"The corridors are sealed, there isn't going to be anyone coming in here anytime soon."
"Good."
"Anything else I should do Kiler?"
"yes, go check on the maintanance tube. And XKR, if you find anyone, we don't need anymore hostages."

CK awoke to find an older man standing over him.
"Who are you?"
"I don't think you are in a position to ask that. You people came here after all of our colonies were destroyed, after Plymouth and Emma left. You were waiting for us to get killed, weren't you?'
"What in the name of all things living ar you talking about? We came here to get away from it all on Earth."
"What!? You lie! Earth is dead, and has been for years."
"Do you want proof that I speek no lies? Or perhaps you want to continue the interegation and get me angry?"
an electrical cage appeared around CK, who just laughed.
"What do you find so funny?"
"Nothing much, just this..."
CK walke through the bars, only his clothing taking damage.
"What the Maker are you!?"
"Even if I showed you, you would only think it a dream. Now, will you listen to me, or shall I show you what I am capable of Mr. ..."
"Moon, Axen Moon."

Zeus looked at Kiith and whispered, "Do they actually think that we are going to let them take us hostage?"
Kiith said under his breathe just loud enough for Zeus to hear, "Don't do it, whatever your thinking, just don't do it."
Kiler looked at Zeus and Kiith, "Hey you two, shut the **** up."
Zeus looked at Kiler and laughed, "You have no idea what your up against here. I will give you a chance, just one, to get outta here before I get angry."
Kiler looked at Zeus and laughed so hard that he almost dropped his weapon, "You are not exactly at the right side of the barrel to be making order's. No shut up and step back into the corner, or else we'll only have your friend here to bargain with."
Zeus looked back at Kiith, smiled, and said, "You wanna see something cool?"

Kiler laughed once more.
"First, let me show you something interesting..."
a blue gas permiated from kiler's skin, filling the room and making it impossible to see him. When the filters kicked in and the gas gone, kiler was no longer in the room. In his place was Loki. (If you know any norse Mythology, or even saw the movie The Mask, you should know about him)
"Can you top that, human?"

Zeus looked at Loki laughed and said, "Hey Roy, there aren't any tiger's here, why don't you go back to Vegas. If you want to see something impressive, then just feast your eyes upon this..."
Zeus pulled out a strange object from his pocket in the shape of ring. He put it on his forefinger and then in a blink of an eye vanished. Kiler swiped his hands wildly where Zeus was before, but only hit air. Then Zeus reappeared and hit Kiler.
Kiler asked, "Howed you do that?"
Zeus replied, "I just temporarily deleted my last couple of post, so then I was elsewhere, then put them back in and here I stand once again. But I'm not the only one with a power. Your friend down there with CK9 may be experiencing the power of the mod stick." (LOL, Original....eh?)

Kiler laughed loudly
"You think earthly weapons can help CK? I've been waiting to finish what I started with him..."(He made me a mod when I reached god rank(some wanted me an admin, but he didn't trust me :P ))
"What do you mean?"
"XKR is a shape-shifter, he can change form of matter and shape. He doesn't stand a chance using the mod stick."

CK once again transformed into dragon form, leaving Axen with a dropped jaw.
"Before when I had lived on Earth as a child, I heard of such creatures... We were told you didn't exist!"
"That's the way we like it, humans being ignorant to our existance. Now, we have to get out of here, the base is going to blow..."
"No, it isn't. The countdown stopped shortly after I hit you over the head."
"Thank you for making it easier for me."
"Who are you?"
a figure had entered the door frame while they were talking.
"You! havenn't you done enough already, XKR?"

"W-what? where am I?" A disgruntled figure awoke from sleep.
He found himself in what appeared to be an abandoned facility, one that had been outdated, and in neglect of demolition.
Slowly he got up and began to study his surroundings.
He could feel something in his pockets, and pulled out an Id card. The space under Colony Section had been scratched out.
Under the space marked name was the word: Phantom. And nothing else.
"Is this my name? I-I don't remember."
Phantom put the card back in his pocket and looked around once more.
A sign over a doorway read Residential Quarter 0023.
Phantom got up and looked out the window. He had a feeling of Deja Vu, as he saw the pock-marked landscape of the world he was on.
"That looks familiar," he said as he walked towards an airlock.
A T.V. monitor was somehow amaisingly working, and the OUF Colony News was on.
"In other news, the mysterious colonist only known as Phantom is currently missing, this following a security report of a man in a black combat suit breaking into the weapons and technology division, and stealing multiple data disks. The man Known as Phantom is said to be extreamly dangerous, and is accused of working for the Plymouth Insurgents. Anyone who has any information on this man is to report to the athoritys if he is spotted..."
Phantom maddly grabbed the card out of his pocket, and also felt another thing.
He pulled out the ID Card and also a High Density data disk labeled "Weapons-03993 Top Secret".
He looked at the ID Card with the name Phantom. "This is bad.." Phantom said to himself.

Phantom put on an environmental suit, and opened the airlock.

{I decided to make myself a cyborg. For no apparent reason. Here, my memory and existing skills has been erased so the scientists and engineers could work with my brain easier. These, and more skills, will be rewritten to my biological memory.
The AI I have isn't artificial conciousness, just artificial intelligence. It works with my normal intelligence for stuff.
The virtual memory can be read by my brain. It's used for larger bits of information and things that should not be forgotten.
Also, boptronics means "biological/optical robotics"... in case any of you need to know.
Oh, and prepare for an overly dramatic introduction... And probably slightly corny.}
His isolation from conciousness has been too long.
It seemed eons while in his suspended animation.
Trapped in a void where you cannot sense anything, remember what you experienced a second ago, or even think. A realm of blackness. Alone.
In the midst of it all, struggling to be free of the world in which he was trapped, he felt awakening. His vision was, at first, nothing more than a white blur. Gradually, his eyes adjusted until he knew enough that he was in a structure.
He felt the light, radiating heat as his optical components turned online. Computerized information was shown in the center of his vision.

The computerized text blinked 3 times, then vanished from my vision. The warmth released by the electric current in my optical components was no longer apparent.
I almost immediately began to remember who I am, what I am, where I am, and what had happened to me. My name was Arklon. I was a human; however, with my optical components, I was considered a cyborg. I am in the OUF colony currently... somewhere in a command center. I had agreed to be a test subject of a very advanced research project the colony's scientists had been investigating. They had put me into stasis while they were working on my brain and my other biological components, and inserting optical ones.
I browsed through the colony information in my virtual memory. Apparently, I was in a remote mining colony, apart from the main colony site. I then realized that there was the Blight. The thought of it sent a brief shiver down my spine.
I tried to think of the reason why I was awoken from stasis. My virtual memory had the answer. There was a security problem in Sector 0A-104. Someone by the name of "XKR" had been about the colony. I got up from the place where I was lying, and began to make my way to that area.

As Phantom walked out the door, he heard several explosions as the structes started to lose structural integredy. He walked a little farther and before he was more than five meters away, the residence he had just been in collapsed. He turned around and saw a lynx rolling towards him. The microbe units had come. He slowly backed away, thinking he could get awa, when suddenly, he fell through a crack in the New Terran surface. Just as his head went fully under-ground, the unit fired at his position.

Zeus pulled out a grappeller grenade and tossed it at kiler {To anyone who was at the last forum, was the last part he was using Zutual or Tassadar?} who immediately became entangled in a mess of metal vines.

He woke, not knowing how long he had been falling. Phantom looked around and noticed another airlock door, but how? He was under the surface wasn't he? He looked around the cavern and his jaw dropped wide open. The dream the Eden colonists had before plymouth left the planet had not failed, just happened in the wrong area. The cavern was filled with plant life and a giant, tranquil lake...

Zeus quickly jumped on Kiler, turned him towards the wall and pulled the triger of the gun he was holding. The blast blew away CK9's weilding job from earlier and Zeus quickly pushed Kiler out the window! The air outside came rushing in. Kiith quickly grab a piece of debris and jumped at the hole and covered it again, took out his tool's and began weilding it back on.

Phantom walked up to the lake, sensors in his helmet began to compile thousands of commands as he neared the lake.
Then in the upper right corner of his HUD blinked Air Is Now Breathable.
Phantom couldm't believe it.
Phantom then stopped and sat down by the lake, still not wanting to take his helmet off just in case.
~The only thing I can remeber, is running from an unknown fear, something that couldn't be stopped. And that that thing was invented by the Eden Colonist. But this can't be Eden can it? It has changed too much..~
Phantom got up, unable to remember anything more. He walked over to the airlock, opened it, and went inside.
Inside, computers were clicking madly while proccessing data, and monitors flashed messages in an unknown code.
Phantom somhow knew what to do, he walked over to a computer and inserted the Data Disk.
Lights flashed on the monitor and the words "Accessing Research Database" appeared on the screen.
Then, a list of topics appeared on the screen starting with Advanced cellular enhancement.

Advanced Cellular Enhancement through implants
Scientists have discovered a process for inserting nanobots into human cells.
After proper insersion into a Nutrient Bath, the nanobots have successfully joined with the human host.
Increases in Speed, Strength, Agility, Awareness, Sight, Hearing, Reaction time, and Critical Thinking are increased a hundred fold.
The nanobots produce a shield around each individual cell, this created a resistance to EMP and other mechanical dissruption devises.
The nanobots increase bone strength by putting multiple layers of Titanium alloy and fuse them into areas of the bone.
When finished, bone strength becomes as strong as a bar of Titanium.
The cells of the brain are also kept perfectly intact through use of nanobots with no losses. However, if nanobots are damaged in this area, temporary memory loss will occur until the nanobots are repaired.

We have created a headset that will interact with the nanobots that have fused with the brain. When the two interact, It creates a strong link and can give on-board Diagnostic readouts of the human in question.
The headset contains a heads up display, which gives a readout on vital signs, remote computer access, Video communications link, and a Target and Identify system.
The user meerly thinks of the command he would like to use, and it is done.

Also, the vision I have is not monochrome, I can see colors... just with a computerized HUD and command interface.}
Arklon had trouble finding his way out of the nearly empty Command Center. Although he could access the colony's infrastructure, he had not known he could discover such information; some of his own existance shaded from his knowledge.
After several trial and error scenarios, Arklon finally reached the door that lead into the tube complex; the system that held the colony together, the system that allowed transport, and secured suitable air inside of the colony.
As Arlon opened the door, he had only seen a place as deserted as the Command Center. He saw several text phrases written on the intersections. One said, "< To airlock, basic and standard laboratories : To smelters >", another read, "^ To vehicle factory : To advanced laboratories (Access restricted) v : To airlock >". He thought it may be better to head toward the advanced lab to find out more about himself, and this experiment that had been conducted on him.
Suddenly, on his computerized vision, this message appeared:

After the Blight resistance module loaded, many commands and numbers scrolled quickly across the center of his eyes. It seemed as if at least one million phrases had appeared, although the actual amount was closer to 50.
After having a few minute break to ponder about the spontaneous notice and refocus himself on what he was previously doing, Arklon resumed his walking toward the colony's advanced lab.

The tube system seemed like a labriynth to Arklon. Luckily, there was the visual guidance. It was not long before he found the doors to the advanced labs.
Arklon immediately entered and searched for "Arklon" on a computer. He found a document titled "DOCU/SCI/PRJ/CYBORG". He knew it had some of the answers to what happened to him. He viewed the file.
Arklon read that the project came up when a scientist was reading through a database on old Earth about nanotechnology and cyborg technology. Arklon then saw that the project was created and conducted by the OUF colony scientists. He read through the summaries of the improvements and optical components that were implanted into him.
The optical component information showed that some of the more important/main systems were a HUD and command display; a communication device that could communicate with other colonists, vehicles, or structures; and access informational databases remotely; a sensor; and Blight protection.
The nanobot information showed that a vast amount of nanobots had been injected into his system to protect himself from chemical and biological attacks, and prevent his optical components from EMP disruption, short circuiting, or power surges. Another vast amount of nanobots had been injected into his system to force his cells to let the nanobots inside. The nanobots inserted inside the cells would protect all of his cells from the Blight and viruses, and preserve his more important cells, mainly muscle and nerve cells.
{Note: This method for nanobot/cell fusion is different than of the method used in Phantom's. This forces the cell to use endocytosis to allow the nanobot to be let inside. There, it becomes part of the cell's nucleus. Don't start complaining to me if you know nothing about cells.
The nanobots would kill the Blight by making viruses that specifically target the Blight.}
Arklon saw that commands could be executed by thinking of a phrase similar or exact to the requested command.
He read that the memories rewritten to his biological memory would be recognized after 2 hours. The skills rewritten to his mind would begin to work in just under 5 minutes.
He then read about the AI integrated in his mind. He read that, rather than working on its own, it works with his normal intelligence to help him with a vast number of situations. It would take 5 hours for the AI to be fully initialized.
After absorbing the mass of information, Arklon decided he had learned enough about himself, and he began to make his way toward an airlock.

OOC: lol Edit: Yah, Arklon's nanobots are different. Those only guard against Blight, and other harmful things, while my nanobots do that, plus increase physical attributes (without cyborg parts) and can bring up memory recollection a hundred fold. So yah, their different.

Phantom hid behind a computer, and waited for the footsteps to pass.
However, the footsteps stopped right in front of the computer terminal.
"Come out Phantom, there is nothing to fear." A Transmitted Voice said.
Phantom got up from behind the computer console.
A droid stood in front of him, and to his amaizement, a holographic projector displayed a human face.
"This droid is transmitting an image of myself through to you."
"But just WHO are you?" Phantom asked
"I am Dr. Santon former head of the department of Human Enhancement for Eden Colony."
"And just how do you know me?" Phantom asked.
"Oh, now I see," the Doctor said to himself, "You've lost your memory haven't you? Well, perhapse it is for the best. I want you to take this," a compartment on the droid opened up, and inside was a headset, "I trust you saw this in the records? Don't try to deny it, I traced your signal when you accessed them."
Phantom took the headset/visor, and put it on.
"Now I want you to meet me at this location, this visor will provide a false ID for you, and will tell you where to go. That is all I can say for now, this transmission could be traced."
The transmission then went dead. And the robot went away.
Phantom looked into the HUD, in it he could see coordinates, and a waypoint marker marked "???"
~I do not have a good feeling about this.~ Phantom thought as he walked towards the upper level.

Phantom found himself at the "Money" end of the residential sector, and he came to a door marked "Janitor."
Phantom walked inside, and closed the door.

Phantom could feel the floor give way as he decended underground.
On the surface, the floor covered up as if he had never been there.
The lift stopped in an underground cavern.
All thruought the cavern were stabilisation rods to prevent earthquakes from destroying the secret room.
"Ah! Good to see you again! I had not seen you since the accident.. well, let's start from the beginning shall we?"
"It all started at the old Eden Colony, just as the Blight hit.."
"I was the Top Scientist of the X-Labs, that was Eden's Top Secret Experemental Facility. Not even the top athorities had known about it."
"The Colony, had previously split into two parts. Eden and Plymouth. You my friend are a citizen of niether."
"I found you half alive in an abandoned station in the wilderness. You were still alive, but unconsious. So I decided to take you in."
"The other doctors thought you were dead, but I knew better, however, your body was extremely damaged, and I spent countless hours (Between Colony moves) repairing your biological structure with meds."
"To make a long story short, The X-Labs were about to be discovered, so I had to, in a way, 'frame' you so that the local athority would not uncover my research."
"I jettisoned you, and told the athorities about the 'theft' of course, how they discovered you name is a mystery to me."
"I found that nametag on you when I first found you."
"You also were my only successful human subject for the Human/Nanobot enhancement procedure."
"You mean that I am a test subject?!?" Phantom exclaimed.
"Now don't go all up in arms like that. I had no idea if you would ever wake up, you've been asleap since Plymouth left for the stars."
"All I need now is to test your resistance to the blight.." The Doctor held up a small glass bottle, inside was a neon-blue colored gas.
"No way!" Phantom said as he backed away, "You aren't going to get that stuff on me!"
"Now don't worry, I have found a way to neutralize a small portion of it so it isn't harmful. Now sit down."
Phantom sat down, he could feel the doctor inject a small needle under his skin, followed by an icy feeling.
"Now come over to the examination table."
Phantom want and lay down on the examination table, Laser Light diagnostics scanned his body, and the blight was shown that it had penetrated his entire body.
"Yes, yes, things look good, very good. The nanobot shielding I invented is specially polorized to keep out EMP, and Blight. Ok, you can get up now."
"The readings show that the blight has been internally neutralized by the nanobot shielding. Excellent."
"Now Phantom, I have no idea of your past, and your memory loss is not due to a nanobot malfunction, but it is due to your long term unconciousness."
"Now, you have had a long day, go get some rest."
Phantom noticed that for the first time all day, he was tired, and could not remember the last time he felt so.
Phantom was led to a small room, and there he lay down on the bed.
"Now remember Phantom, I too am wanted by the police for my experaments (Under my alias of course) so always be ready."
The Doctor then closed the light and left.
Phantom lay in the dark room ~The doctor is obviously very hyper. I still don't know why I am here. But it looks like I will, and it looks to be very soon.~

Dr. Santon sat in front of his computer terminal. He reviewed the special nanobots that he had invented.
~Those fools at eden were only interested in Cyborg enhancements, not natural pysical inhancements. They said that my ideas would never work. Well, today I have proven them wrong.~
He typed in multiple commands on the console before bringing up a screen that read "Nanobot upgrade"
~Ah yes, the upgrade, this will make the nanobots more stable, and quicken the signals between them for faster actions.~
The doctor then typed in a code, and accessed the research for the Cyborg project.
"Always leave a back door," he said as he typed in a username and passcode that had been long forgotten by the OUF scientists.
The name Arklon appeared on the screen. "So, it seems that one of their cyborgs has survived. "
The Television in the corner of the room switched to channel 3 which was the security camera station.
It showed a group of officers about to enter the janitor's room, they had been found!
Dr. Santon saved the Arklon files to his disk, and went to wake up Phantom.

Plym was wondering how he was going to get back to the colony in time after x had disapeared, suposedly transporting back to the colony and the scout had shut down. He looked into the armory of the scout and saw that there were 2 thors rifles, and 5 emp grenades with 2 sticky shells. He took up the weapons and started his trek to the colony when a microbe vec passed by, that is when plym new that the colony was in a good deal of trouble. He continued his trek, but it might take him a while to get back.

Arklon had finally managed to reach the sector in which there was a security problem.
No sign of life anywhere. He searched every nook and cranny of the area. Still nothing. "What?!" Arklon said in disgust.
He then reviewed the date of the security problem. It was three months old. "Why wasn't I put out of stasis then?"
He wanted to know why he wasn't awakened earlier. He browsed the access log of the research project files to see if he could find a scientist that may have worked on the project. There was only one recent entry:

Zeus and Kiith finished up in the Command Center and then walked out to find CK9. They looked around, but he was gone. Zeus thought to himself, Maybe the day is getting better.
They started to walk back when they spotted something down below within the hole that CK9 had gone into. There he was fighting off something else. Kiith and Zeus jumped down to help, but once they got there they noticed that he had things under control.
Zeus said to CK9, "You can put away your stick (the mod stick sicko's), it's just us. We saw Kiler up stair's, then he turned into something that resembled Loki, but I knocked him out the window. He went running towards some collapsed residence and that the last I saw him."
CK9 asked, "Was the resident's in sector Alpha 6?"
Zeus thought a moment then answered, "Yeah, so what? Did you know someone there or something?"
CK9 just looked at the other two, "We have to get there, now. That's where the....(He paused realizing that the other two didn't have a high enough security clearance to know what was there)well let's just say that we need to make sure that he doesn't find what's there"

Phantom woke up a few minutes after he had gone to sleep, the Dr. was buisily destroying all the files, as the security guards began to break into the lab.
"Dr. Santon, I think I know where we will be safe."
Dr. Santon stopped looking interested.
Phantom continued, "Where I accessed the data, It seems that there was some sort of Terraforming project underway, it is underground, and I do not think that anyone may find us there."
Dr. Santon nodded, "Yes, I know of the place of which you speak. Let us go, now."
Dr. Santon led the way out of the lab, he then set a Kilo of C4 to cover their escape.

Dr. Santon led Phantom to a Scout vehicle, although this one had been modified to be operated by humans.
The doctor loaded a few machines, then he and Phantom got in.
As the doctor drove away, he detonated the C4, destroying the lab, and causing a massive tremor to rise under the residence.

Phantom knew they had arrived. He could see the crater where the Blight Lynx had almost made swiss cheese out of him.
The two, with environmental suits on, went into a celler type doorway, that led into the abandoned lab that Phantom had discovered.
Phantom closed and sealed the door behind them.
Santon sat down heavily in an old chair, "There is something I must tell you about the Human Enhancement division." he said.
"There were two divisions, the Cyborg, and the Nanobot/Human. I was a part of the latter."
"However, the scientist in the Cyborg division conducted obscene experaments on their human subject, those subjects never survived the treatment."
"I however, had been in that feild for sometime, and found that I could make the process work by adding my nanobots to the procedure."
"The first successful subject was a man named Arklon."
"However, when the Government closed the project, they had destroyed all of the Cyborgs, and those who were to become cyborgs. They wanted all traces of them to dissapear."
"However, it seems that one of the Cyborgs, the one called Arklon, has survived. I have found no record of his demise, and his cryostasis tube was found missing."
"The Govenment will want to destroy him. I want you to make sure that doesn't happen."
The footsteps of Zeus and Kiith could be heard on the surface above..

As Zeus, CK9, and Kiith neared the destroyed residence, they saw a microbe lynx coming towards them. They broke into an all-out sprint to get away from the lynx, but it charged up and fired.......

Phantom and the Doc heard a noise that sounded like it came from within the room they were in. They looked at each other and back out to the room, searching it with their eye's. Phantom saw something that looked like a man flash by on the other side of the vast room, but he couldn't tell who it was.
"Hello," Phantom called out, "who's there?"
He started to walk over but right as he took his first step, the man appeared right in front of him. It was Loki, looking quite pleased with himself. "I have found the secrete lab, that was one of the objectives for this mission, and I'm not about to let anyone ruin this for me." He punched Phantom in the stomach, sending Phantom to the ground clutching his stomach.
Phantom was only angered by this and stood up....."Look's like there might just be someone standing in your way after all...."

- Thor's hammer rifle: This is a rifle created by the Artifical Lightning research project. It send a directed beam of postitive ions to a target. This may cause electronic equipment to become overloaded when shot at.
- Composite ray projector cannon: Modified from the Meteor Defense technology. It fires a photon laser beam, a microwave laser beam, and a particle beam at a target. Does massive damage, but requires a long cooling off period between firing. This weapon is unstable. It may explode if the power core overloads.
- EMP (Electro-Magnetic Pulse) blast cannon: This works slightly different than the EMP projectile launcher. Instead of shooting a projectile, it sends out an EMP blast with a maximum radius of 10 meters.
Intermediate technologies:
- RPG (Rocket-propelled grenade) launcher: Launches a rocket-propelled grenade at a target. Be careful where you fire. This weapon may have a little inaccuracy.
- Magnetic-Rail Projectile gun: Shoots a projectile guided by a directed magnetic field. Has slightly less inaccuracy than a RPG launcher.
- FEP (Fragmenting Explosive Projectile) launcher - Modified ESG weapon. Shoots a projectile that fragments into multiple explosives upon contact. These explosives will explode in a 2 second period of time.
- EMP (Electro-magnetic Pulse) projectile launcher: Launches a projectile that disables electronic equipment with the disruptive effect of EMP.
- Photon laser projector: This weapon is capable of more damage than its counterpart used on weapon guard posts and mobile units. The higher the power, the longer the cooling off period.
- Microwave pulse projector: Sends a directed beam of microwave waves at a target. This weapon is capable of melting most armor.

Phantom could feel a warmth well up inside him, as if he had been hit with a lightning bolt.
His muscles increased in size, and then it seemed as if time had slowed down.
Phantom could see Loki trying to get a second punch in, Phantom grabbed his arm.
Loki yelled out in surprize as Phantom swung him around and threw him against a wall, putting a dent in it.
~What just happened?~ Phantom thought to himself, ~It's as if I acted by reflex..~
"Now, whoever you are, I don't care what your 'mission' is, you tried to take me out, and I don't like that, no, I don't like it one bit."

Arklon walked everywhere through the maze-like tube system. It seemed endless, and, in a way, was endless. As he walked near a certain portion of the complex, his HUD highlighted an area with a 3D grid, and labeled it as "CONCEALED WEAPONS". He then realized that it was quite loose, making it very easy to open. Inside, there was one of the modified Thor's Hammer cannon weapons, and a small data slip labeled "Hidden weapon locations".
Arklon briefly stared at the data slip, thinking various thoughts. He then saw he was close to a basic laboratory. He knew there had to be a computer that could read the data slip in the lab. He walked through the large door, and sure enough, there was a computer visible in plain sight. He could see that there was a slot for reading such objects.
Arklon inserted the data slip into the slot. The computer read, "Accessing...". The screen stayed the same for three seconds. It then came up with this disappointing message: "Data encrypted in unknown sequence."
Why was this data slip encrypted with apparently a high security encryption sequence? Arklon decided he would try to view it again later. He put the data slip carefully into his pocket. He then walked out of the lab, and grabbed the Thor's Hammer cannon, which was still in the hidden compartment, and continued his search for this "Santon".

Arklon walked down a straight, long path in the tube complex. He has yet to see another living soul since his reawakening to the world in which he was in. He sighed. It was as if the world had welcomed him, to be a lost wanderer for the rest of his days.
Arkon passed door after door, some labeled such as "Residence Unit 6-14", others "Agridome 6-02", and one "Common Storage 6-01". Just near as the seemingly endless tube turned to the left, he saw a door with its label scratched and worn away, so much that it was no longer legible. As he walked inside, he saw a room that appeared to be abandoned. Wires hung from the ceiling, the five computers in the room were damaged; the computer monitors flickering with corrupted outputs, making static noises; the lights were cracked and burned out. He was about to leave the room and go back to trudging down the depeopled tube, when he saw something more interesting in the far corner of the worn down room.
Arklon walked further down the room, he saw there was some sort of mechanism, apparently a lift. He looked down the hole. There were active lights down there, and a broken lift platform. He backed away a little to just barely see an airlock door. An airlock? In an underground cavern?

Dr. Santon put on an environmental suit and went outside through the airlock while Phantom and Loki were fighting.
He walked outside, and shut the door behind him

Santon looked around, he could see plants and a large pool of liquid.
He took out his analyser and took a sample of the liquid, and of the air.
"That's Impossible!" he said to himself.
~The air is breathable down here?!? And the liquid is drinkable water!!~
Santon couldn't resist the urge to take off his helmet.
He held his breath, and took it off. He then took his first breath of the first un-recycled air he had ever breathed in.
"Those geniouses! These modified plants are taking in the New Terra atmosphere, and converting it into breathable air! That's it! That's the answer!"
~We don't need a fungus, or anything like that! All we needed was to modify some of our own plants to take in Carbon Dioxide as well as the chemicals in the New
Terra Atmosphere! Yes! It all makes perfect sence!~

Santon reached down and picked a leaf off of one of the plants, he also took a sample of water in a collection dish.

The sounds of laser fire overhead prompted Santon to put his environmental helmet back on.
He then pulled out a disruptor pistol, and watched as the roof began to collapse under the weight of a vehicle.
Dr. Santon then ducked back through the airlock as a Lynx came crashing through the ceiling...

Zeus, CK9, and Kiith dove out of the way, as the laser hit the ground creating a charred crater.
The Lynx charged up and fired at Zeus, but the shot missed and went on to hit the structure that they had been working on, putting a large hole and many cracks in it.
Zeus then noticed that the ground was cracking benieth the Lynx, and ran towards it.
The Lynx shot at the ground where Zeus had once stood, which was right in the middle of a tremmor crack.
The blast caused the crack in the ground to begin to rummble as the ground gave way and the Lynx fell into a hole. An explosion could be seen then coming out of the ground.

Loki got up and Laughed, "Do you really think you stand a chance against me human?" he said in a confident voice.
"I don't know, let's find out!" Phantom shouted as he ran forward and punched Loki squarely in the chest sending him flying backward through the room.
Loki was mad now, he yelled in rage as he ran forward and punched Phantom squarely in the jaw. Phantom was thrown up, and his head hit the ceiling. Phantom then crashed on the floor.
In a split second, Phantom raised his feet and kicked Loki in the stomach, making him double over. Phantom then lifted his head and kicked it into a console.
Phantom jumped back. Loki slowly got up, blood running down his face from his mouth and left eye. "You are strong human, strong and lucky, but I think your luck is about to run out."
Phantom just smiled...

{Note that the airlock I'm coming through leads to the same underground terraforming project, but it's not the same airlock as everyone else in this story used.}
Arklon jumped down the broken lift service. He saw three things: the airlock door, the broken lift platform, and an environmental suit. He put the environmental suit on. Immediately afterward, he walked through the airlock.
Arklon didn't pay much attention to anything in the cavern, only the message on his suit's HUD: "<Air is suitable dioxygen. Pressure is at normal level>." Arklon then saw a large hole in the ceiling that was made recently... too recently. He left the helmet on. He looked down some more. He saw a foreign laser lynx!
Arklon cocked the Thor's Hammer cannon. He targetted the exposed wires on the back of the turret, and fired. The turret was not only damaged, but the lynx's power was overloaded. The turret moved around randomly. Then, the laser turret smoked, and the lynx exploded shortly afterward.
Arklon looked behind the lynx unit. He noticed another airlock door. He proceeded to walk through it. As he did, he pulled off his environmental suit's helmet, and noticed that there was someone with him.
"Ah, I was hoping to find someone," Arklon said. He then asked, "You wouldn't know anyone the name 'Santon', would you?"

Santon wheeled around and looked into a familiar face.
"I am Santon, and I know you.. You are Arklon, the only Cyborg in existance now.."
"I am pleased that you survived the purging though. After it was announced on the news that the Cyborg lab had been destroyed I lost hope that any had survived."
"Now hurry! I fear that this explosion may not have gone unknoticed. I may need you to hold off potential hostiles."
"When I'm sure it's safe, I'll run a full diagnostics on your systems."
Santon peered out of the airlock at the hole in the roof.
"That will need to be fixed, and reinforced.. but later, now come! There is no time to loose!"

In one of the far off corners of the base, in an old abandoned Residence, no. 1-44, everything was quiet.
Noone was around, wires hung from the ceiling, and an occasional spark would bring light to the room.
Suddenly, a noise was heard. Something had shook the building. One of the floormats started to shake, which filled the room with an intense metallic whine.
Below the room, an old arachnid robot, thrice as big as the standard production ones, stood up on its legs, metallic-red letters on its side indicating it was the last of a special line of robots, codenamed "Prima". This was Prima-C, the last ever produced.
Inside its processors, the machine tried to startup.
Sensors online...
Weapons online...

Begin awareness sequence.
As it cleared from the ground, two powerful searchlights switched on, and the camera did a full 360º of the room.

Now standing on its nine legs, Prima-C walked to a nearby door and with a quick movement, took it to the ground. Flashing the searchlights across the distressed hall, it quickly focused on the target: the access to the old tube network. Avoiding obstacles, Prima raced across the hall, went down a flight of stairs and found itself in the basement, an entrance to the tunnel network on the left and the tube door lieing on the floor, cracked in two.
Pointing its lights at the dark tunnel, Prima ventured into it...

CK had let the others run ahead. The last thing he needed right now was for the newer colonists getting in the way. He searched the shore of the underground lake and soon found a boat tied up to a tree in a swampy area. He was not about to loose this chance to explore such a thing. He herd footsteps behind him and slowly reached for the thro's hammer riffle that he had lashed to his leg. He spun around, raising the wepon. "Stop right where you... Axen, how'd you get here?"
"After you and that one guy got into that battle, I ran to the food storage, only to find the back wall destroyed and this cavern."
there was something weird going on here. This was not a real human, if human it was supposed to be.
"You lying piece of.." CK fired at the image, and there was a slight glitch as of a hologram when the projector was malfunctioning.

xfir wasn't about to let the others get all the fun. He had knocked out the forumites who had been assigned to take him out of there and turned the scout around. There were enough units protecting the supplies that it wan\sn't neccessary for any manual control...

Phantom found himself walking down a cavern, unable to remember how he got there, or even where it was.
"WTF! How did I get here? How much time has passed? Hey Santon..."
he turned around, but found himself alone. the walls started coming towards him, suddenly covered in spikes.
"Oh s..."
then he awoke.

Prima ran wildly through the tube, almost not touching the floor. Searchlights blazing, avoiding the debris scattered near the broken food transport tubes, it quickly made its way to a another huge tube door, laying on the floor, scratched and covered with tire threads.
Prima's logical computer tried to figure out what to do next. In a blink of an eye, the agile arachnid took the elevator, to find itself inside an Agridome that still worked.
Prima's audio sensors detected someone talking in the background. Someone entered the Agridome from one of the doors across the building. The robot jumped behind a control panel, trying to hide.

"Where is that little punk? Get me a Mod on the com, now!"
They had checked the other three research and mining camps, and all were just as heavily damaged as the main colony. This one was in the best condition so far.
"Sir, we have been able to contact CK"
"Have you tried getting in contact with anyone else?"
"Yes, he's the only one that would respond."
phil let out a frustrated sigh.
"okay, where is he?"
"He says that there was an old mining shaft at the main colony that led to what appears to be the one success in the old Eden terraforming project. The air is breathable."
"What!? How is that possible?"

Prima listened to the conversation. Finally understanding what was going on, it tried to disappear into the tunnel network, but as it did so, one of its front tweezers knocked over a loose datacard, which fell to the ground with a thud that echoed through the agridome.
The arachnid stopped on its legs, turning the camera to face the figures that had just run in. Its visual sensors waited for their reaction, as its defence instinct loaded the microwave turret hidden on its back...

Dr. Santon and Arklon began running down the winding tube system. This was much unlike the tube Arklon had been in before. The tube had all of its lights active, and it seemed to be kept in good shape.
Arklon asked, "Where are we running to? No sense in going to somewhere neither of us knows."
"See if you can view the colony's infrastructure. Hurry!"
Hmm, strange, the area I was in before I got to the cavern isn't shown on here. "There's a common storage facility not far from here. Seems that there is no one there right now. Will that do?"
"I hope so. Do not waste time, we cannot risk being caught!"
Arklon ran through the tube system, with Dr. Santon following. The view of the colony's infrastructure showed him that he was nearly there. Then, after another turn, all hope seemed to be lost.
"Ugh, ****! {The board's censor is rather long. :P} This part of the tube collapsed. Looks like it's been cut with a laser... perhaps that lynx I destroyed had done this."
"Arklon, is there no other secure place to go?"
"Let's see...", Arklon said as he viewed the infrastructure. He paused. "There is an abandoned structure, but it is somewhat far from here. We might run into some hostiles along the way," he said as he held his gun in a aggressive stance, "It'd be best to move slowly and not make much noise to avoid alerting the security guards on patrol. Unfortunately, this gun is rather loud..."
"It will have to do. We must go."
And so they headed toward their destination, and hoped for the best...

Zeus walked to where CK9 was and asked, "Who was that on the comm?"
"It was a member of Phil's defense squad, I let him know about the breathable air down here and about or situation...not neccesarily in that order though. We must get to a more secure location, with the lynx falling through the roof, surely his friends will come looking to see what happened to him.....oh and uh, nice job with dealing with the lynx too i guess."
"Was that a compliment I just heard coming from your mouth..wow, I never thought I'd live the day to hear that."
"Don't get caught up over it too much, it didn't have much meaning or feeling behind it. We'd better get moving. Where are the other's?"
"They're over..."
Before Zeus could finish they heard a several lynx's up above them.
CK9 yelled, "We'd better get the h3!1 outta here."

Arklon and Dr. Santon quietly moved through the tube, taking much caution along the way. While about one fourth of the way to the structure, a message came on the intercom: "Microbe combat units in colony area. All security teams report."
"Hmm... the patrols are now going to fight off the Microbe units. We can move faster now, but if one of those Microbe units finds us, then we're in a much greater conflict than if we were caught by a patrol. Let's keep moving."
Arklon and the doctor no longer took as much caution going through the tube system. They could hear the muffled sounds of the microbe units firing from inside the tube. They both hoped that the invading units wouldn't destroy the tube. They were just less than half way now. Suddenly, his HUD highlighted another part with a 3D grid. Another hidden weapon location.
Arklon opened up the loose compartment, and inside, there was another modified weapon... this time, a Composite-Ray projector cannon.
"That weapon is unstable. You could kill both of us with it! Put it back.", Dr. Santon said in a worried voice.
Arklon replied, "I'm going to have to take my chances. The Microbe probably sent combat units stronger than lynxes. I'm not sure if my Thor's Hammer weapon could take them out fast enough."

Phantom looked at the badly beaten Loki on the floor. He kicked him in the stomach, getting a low moan from Loki.
"I wish I could stick around. But I don't want to wait for more of your buddies to show up."
Phantom noticed that his cheek was bleeding, ~I guess he must have gotten of a hit on me.~ He chuckled to himself, amaised that he was able to take those kind of blows.
The HUD flashed a "Repairing" signal, and his cheek began to tingle, he wiped his cheek and found that there was no more blood coming out. The wound was healed! ~Man, those nanobots sure come in handy.~
Phantom came out of the airlock, he could see the lake, and the destroyed lynx.
He could also see a man (Phil) walking towards him. The man had obviously not knowticed Phantom, and contiuned to look out over the lake.
Phantom knoticed that the air was still breathable, even with the hole in the ceiling.
~Huh, I guess the air stays in this area!~ Phantom guessed.
"Hey! You over there! I was wondering if you'd seen an old guy in a lab coat run through here."

Santon wathced as Arklon was about to charge up the weapon.
"Just a moment! Let me check something.."
Santon looked the weapon over, "Let me just make some modifications.."
Santon tweeked a few circuts, and tightened a few bolts.
"There.. The problem with the Composite-Ray projector cannon was the possibility of an explosion from overheating. I made a few minor ajustment for it to vent when overheated. Its something the original creators of the weapon overlooked in their design."
"You should be able to fire 10 blasts before it overheats. That should by us some time until Phantom gets back."

{Philip is back, just to let you know. His computer wouldn't start up. He has a new one now. I'm trying to give him suggestions to retrieve some of the files off of the old hard drive.}
Arklon asked, "Phantom...? Who is this 'Phantom'?"
"Ah, I realized you would not know who he is. Phantom is another one of my test subjects. We should wait until we are safe to talk about it."
They continued to make their way to the structure. The were almost three fourths there now, and they cloud hear the sounds of war clearer now. Suddenly, Arklon's HUD highlighted a RPG, which he could not see inside the tube, although he could slightly hear it (the sensor system is able to locate some objects that are not visible by where the sound is coming from), which was headed to the position on which he stood!
"Get down!!"
In a fraction of a second, the artillery exploded above them in a loud, rumbling roar. A second later, the lights in the tube turned red, alarms went off, and this message sounded from the intercom: "Warning: Tube infrastructure compromised. Initiating isolation sequence 9A-24. Isolation will begin in 2.5 minutes." Then, they could see 4 microbe tigers loom above the broken tube, armed with Thor's Hammer weapons, RPG weapons, EMP weapons, and Acid Cloud weapons.
"This isn't good... all the weapons to kill humans and machines."
He fired the Composite-Ray weapon at the EMP tiger first. The tiger exploded almost immediately after being hit. He was nearly hit by a Thor's Hammer strike just after firing. He fired again at the Thor's Hammer tiger. The ray hit the base of the turret. The turret broke off, making the vehicle unable to attack. The Acid Cloud tiger was just about to fire, when it was hit by one of the OUF colony's EMP weapons.
The remaining tiger was now interested in the guard posts, and went away from Arklon and Dr. Santon.
The intercom said, "1.25 minutes to isolation. Please evacuate the damaged area." Santon was burned a bit by the heat released from the Thor's Hammer strike. "Come on, Santon, that can be dealt with later. We have less than a minute and 15 seconds to get out of here before this part of the tube is isolated."

Santon nodded his head in agreement and ran for the emergency bulkhead that began to slowly close.

Phil could see Phantom walking towards him, there was the bluish blood of Loki spattered on his black jumpsuit.
"Don't come any closer!" Phil shouted as he drew a sidearm.
"Now look buddy, I didn't come over here to.."
"Be quiet! Now you just stay where you are and don't move. Get your hands up."
Phantom continued to stand there, arms crossed.
"Oh come on, do I look like someone that would want to hurt you?"
Phantom then noticed Loki's blood on his suit.

As plym reached the colony, he noticed a microbe laser powering up to fire at him. He pulls out his thors rifles and starts firing at the lynx. He misses. He throws a sticky nade right as the laser fires. He manages to escape the blast from the laser with just a bad gash on his leg, but the laser wasn't as lucky, it was caught in sticky foam. Plym checks his rifles, sees that he is running low on power, and decides he has enough to destroy the laser, but from there, he only will have 1 rifle and 2 nades. He fires and the laser lynx is destroyed in a spectacular explosion. From there he starts limping towards the enterance of the only cavern with breathable air from the only succesful terraforming project.

Standing in suspended animation, Prima-C wondered how long it'd take till CK9 posts so he knows what happened when the datacard thudded the ground (...)

The intercom said with a bit of crackling, "Oxygen levels: 84.7%. Hastening isolation sequence to 47 seconds. Isolation in 0.783 minutes." {Yes, the math is correct.}
Arklon and Dr. Santon ran through the slowly closing emergency airlock wall. They ran away from the place where the first hostiles Arklon had been faced with since his reawakening. The sounds of mechanical warfare slowly became more and more muffled, until it had nearly faded away.
Soon, Arklon and the doctor were just 54.7 meters away from their destination. They had noticed the weaponry sounds had gone up and down several times in certain area as they made their way toward what should be a safe haven for them. "Soon, just soon, we will be safe... at least for a while.", Arklon thought as they neared to 36.1 meters.
Arklon stopped when he saw a basic laboratory door when the tube turned. He could hear people inside, but no one was coming out. And no one came in. He told Dr. Santon to move silently. Together, they crept through the section of tube that they were in.
They were now just a meter from the door. Arklon slowly opened the rusted door. It was empty, fortunately enough for the two. It was also dark. Arklon saw the light switch and turned the lights on. Many of the lights were broken or dim, but a few were bright enough to see normally.
Dr. Santon said, "I will run through your diagnostics now that we are hopefully safe. You will be given answers later." He performed the diagnostic checkup. Nanobot functionality, health readings, component functionality, module functionality, command interface functionality, HUD functionality, AI functionality... the list did seem a bit long. However, the diagnostics didn't take as long as it seemed it would to Arklon.
After a few minutes, the diagnostic checkup was complete. Dr. Santon told Arklon, "Everything seems to be fine. However, the finished module for EMP resistance isn't uploaded to your system.
"I do have the data slip containing the module software with me right now. Just hold this data slip within half a meter of your eyes, so your scanning device can download the data from the slip."
Dr. Santon gave Arklon the data slip, and Arklon followed his directions. Arklon's HUD said, "Scanning...". After a brief moment, this message appeared on his HUD: "Scan complete. Data identified as module software 'EMP_RESISTANCE2.1'. Install, save to memory, or cancel?" He thought the word to accept the installation, and the process began. After 5 seconds passed, his HUD notified him that the installation was completed. Then, a few lines appeared on his command line:
"Working...
1 new module found.
* EMP resistance (completed) <Loading recommended, all bugs have been worked out and main functionality tested.>
Load EMP resistance module?
!Loading EMP resistance module...
-EMP resistance module online."
"The module is functional now, Santon. Is there anything else before I can ask questions?"
"I should tell you that the Blight resistance module you have installed has been tested for minor bugs and main functionality. It should work properly. You can ask questions now and receive answers."

CK waded into the water, not satisfied at all with what was going on in here. Soon, he found the flaw in this plan. An unseen wirlpool suddenly got hold of him and he found himself being dragged to the bottom of the deep part of the underground lake.

Plym jumed down the hole, only to find it was the wrong one, an new chasm had opend int the surface and he fell, plunging into the cold water. The rifle instantly went dead as the electricity pulsed through the water. Everything went dark as he lost conciousness from the sudden intese intake of electrons that flowed freely in the water.

Philip and his troops scattered, hiding behind fallen structure parts and whatever else there was left. There was something...or someone else in there.

Prima jumped and sprinted to the wall. Gaining momentum, the arachnid robot dodged a piece of fallen heatshielding.
Turning its cameras right, it spotted Phil. Before he had the time to do anything, Prima fired a long concentrated microwave shot at him. Phil managed to dodge, but a huge smoking hole was left in the ground. The rest of the defense squad fired some shots at Prima, but they missed.
The arachnid suddenly jumped near one of the goons and grappled it with its razor-sharp tweezers by the torso. Tossing it across the room, Prima evaded some more shots and fleed from the Agridome, into the tube network.

Prima was about 2 km from the agridom and had decided that it was far enough from danger to slow down in the tube network. The tubes it was in were dark from the power loss, but prima was expertly using its....

Prima had just stopped in the middle of the tube when another loud bang was heard, and the earth shook for some seconds.
Prima's audio sensors detected something or someone moving behind it. Turning back, it saw a small microbe bot crawling along the wall. With a shot blast of microwave, the bot melted and dripped to the floor.
Prima was wondering what to do now.
Suddenly, the arachnid's radar detected the colony info frequency and knew someone was in trouble in a nearby building.
Speeding up again, the spider literally swept past debris, and ended up in a building, this one with some lights still on, and someone talking in the superior floor.
Prima listened...

Plym awoke, he had no idea how long he had been out for. He tried to get up, only to find himself restrained. He suddenly realized that there were computers all around, keeping track of vital signs and monitering his brainwaves. He turned his head and saw CK on an adjacent table, completly unconcious. He appeared to have been in the water far too long, though who could tell with his kind? A blight spider ran up to plymoth, suddenly realizing his awareness...

Arklon questioned, "Who is Ph--"
Dr. Santon interrupted, "Wait! I forgot to test your Blight resistance." He chuckled. "Perhaps it was already testing it on Phantom eariler that made me forget." He pulled out a syringe from his pocket, labed "DEFECTIVE BLIGHT SAMPLE B091K". A fluid was inside, but the blight microorganism was too small to see with one's naked eyes; a invisible murderer.
Arklon quickly said in fear, "You're going to infect me with the Blight and put the entire colony at risk?! You'll kill the last of humanity on this world!"
The doctor laughed harshly. "If you had read the whole label on this tube, you would already know this sample has a defect in its DNA and cannot successfully break apart compounds. Your nanobots will still identify it as the Blight and kill it off.
"Don't worry, this won't hurt one bit," he continued as he injected the substance into Arklon's arm. His HUD read, "Blight concentration: 20%. Enabling Blight defensive measures." During the course of several seconds, the concentration percentile gradually decreased, until the concentration went down to 0%, and the message disappeared.
Dr. Santon asked, "Did it work...?"
"I'm fine. It apparently worked right."
"Excellent.
"Now, where were we? Ah, Phantom. Phantom, as I had told you before in the tube, as a test subject for one of my other experiments. The experiment was to use nanobots similar to the ones in your system to increase natural physics.
"Many of my colleagues said it would never work. Just today, it seems I've proven them wrong," he added.
"Anyway, his nanobots work similar to yours. They protect cells from being damaged or destroyed. They also protect the body from the Blight, and protect themselves from EMP disruptions.
"Phantom is in this colony. The last time I saw him, he was battling this... thing... I have never seen anything like it before... we must find him."
Suddenly, on Arklon's HUD, a view of the particular section of the colony that he was in was shown and a message that said, "Increased activity in area."
Arklon told Dr. Santon with no hesitation, "There's more activity coming. We should leave now."

Prima listened for a few minutes, and entered the still functional elevator. The lift slowly rised to the second floor, where the doors slipped open.
Prima stepped on the hard metallic floor. The voices came from the other room, that had bright lights on.
Maneuvering around objects, Prima lowered and entered the room from where the voices came from. Turning its cameras to the left, it saw Arklon standing up, and Dr. Santon right behind him. Emitting a series of loud beeps, Prima's speech engine produced a human-like, flawed sentence:
"Who-scrshhh- are you?"
On the back of its torso, the microwave cannon was being loaded...

As soon as Arklon saw the microwave turret, he pulled out his composite-ray projector, and aimed it at the base of the spider's turret.
"And who are you?"

Phantom could see that Phil was looking at something else, and had momentarily lost interest in Phantom.
Phantom ducked behind a rock and dissapeared from the sight of Phil's group.
Phantom could see something coming out of the shadows. It was Loki, and he looked pretty mad.
Phil's group readied their rifles...

Dr. Santon put his hand on Arklon's shoulder. "Now now, let's not be hasty, I think this may be a battle we could not win even if we tried."
"You fire that Comp-Ray projector at this close a proximity, it would surely fry us too."
Then Santon used put his hand on the weapon, and had Arklon lower it.
"I am Dr. Santon, and this here is my 'partner' Arklon."
"You look like a scorpion, but seem smarter. You are a long way from Plymouth colony (or what is left of it)."
"But come now, won't you tell us what you are doing here? We mean you no harm, I assure you."
Santon and Arklon exchanged a nervous glance...

Prima retracted the microwave cannon back on its torso, and lowered its legs so that its cameras were at level with the human's heads.
The speech engine beeped.
"I mean you no harm either."- the arachnid's cameras glanced at Arklon's comp-ray gun-" I've simply 'awaken' a short time ago and wondered if someone still lived on this colony."
Dr. Santon nodded. "That makes sense up till now."- he paused -" But why are you here? Shouldn't you be in the remains of the Plymouth colony?"
Prima beeped in acknowledgement.
"The truth is that, before Plymouth became a splinter colony and Eden formed the OUF colony, Scorpion designs were already being created. They went by the codename of 'Prima-series'. I'm one of them, but a very early model. My specific codename is Prima Titan Mk IV."
The spider turned to show the "PrimaT-IV" engraved on one of its middle legs.
"I was a model that they created, but afterwards took some weapons out, because all the weapons asked too much from the internal powerplant, and had to be taken out."
Dr. Santon glanced sideways at Arklon. "If you had so much weaponry, how come you didn't get dismantled?"
Prima started again.
"One of the scientists, before his colony got destroyed, sent an unmanned probe with me on it, to track the signal of any possible colony and to start me up when it got there. Since I got here, someone hid me under the floorboards of an abandoned residence, possibly as contraband. I was awaken by a radio signal sent across the colony by someone."
Arklon nodded. "Interesting story."
Prima interjected - "Well, I see that something big is going on, but my logical processor fails to realize what. I just escaped a combat patrol, lead by someone I heard calling 'Philip'. If a menace comes, I can defend myself, however I wonder if it would be of any use. The dual gauss cannons, microwave turret, and Thor's Hammer emitter take up quite a bit of power." - Prima glanced at Arklon - "You seem like one of us. Is there anyway Dr. Sancton could see what's wrong with my design?"
Prima's cams turned to Santon.

The blight spider was unaware of the micro transmiter plymoth had hidden in his mouth, and plymoth to this opertunity to message phill that he and CK needed help.
"Phill, can you here me?"
"Yea plym, have you seen ck?"
"Yes I have, he is on the table next to me, we are in just a bit of trouble with the microbe spiders and things. Anychance you can track my transmiter and help us out a bit?"
"Yea, i'll be there with my squad asap."

Arklon turned his head toward Dr. Santon. The doctor replied, "Perhaps... but it will have to wait. I don't have any power cores with me at the moment.
"Besides, I need to find another person first... his name is Phantom."

Phantom could see Phil talking into his communicator (He knows his name is Phil because Plymouth could be heard talking to him). Phil was unaware of Loki, and could not see that the wolf-like creature was about to pounce on him from the shadows.
Phantom picked up a rock and threw it at Loki. The rock hit him square in the head, and the wolf was knocked out cold.
Phantom then decided to escape before Phil's group would notice him.
Phantom then left through an airlock to the surface, hoping to find Santon.

Santon's watch began beeping, and a holographic radar appeared in their midst.
"It seems that Phantom has locked onto our signal. He will be here shortly. I think we will be safe here for the time being."
Santon walked over to the scorpion. "Your intelegence modual suggests that you may have not meerly have been a prototype."
Santon opened up a pannel. "Ah, yes. The problem here is that your power supply is based on the old One Socket model. All of your weapons are drawing their energy from the same power socket. If all your weapons were fired at once. It would result in a power failure and overload."
Santon pulled out his multi-tool and began to work on Prima. "I am going to make some temporary modifications until I can find some more suitable equipment."
"Now Arklon, you are probably wondering the real purpose for your becoming a cyborg. Let's just say I can see it in your eyes."
"You were the first successful cyborg ever made. And your purpose was to take out the Plymouth leadership through assassination."
"However, I deleated your original protocals in order to make sure that it didn't happen."
"The other scientists however, disbanded the project when the blight was loosed. I put you in extended hypersleep, and injected you with a few of my nanoprobes. That is how you gained Blight resistance, etc."
Santon finnished his work. Prima's power-core began cycling at a steady rate.
"That will make your power cell more efficient. But I can fully modify you if we could get to my lab."
Santon pulled up a holographic map. "My lab is approxamately 20 miles north of the colony. It is protected by numerous turrets, and is still undiscovered by the leadership here."
"We will start off for my lab... now."
As soon as he finnished, Phantom came in the door.
Phantom smiled, "It looks like you've made some friends doctor. I couldn't help but overhear your plan."
"There is a battle raging outside, I'd suggest we comendeer a scout, modify it for passengers, and start off for the lab. We can use the battle as cover."
So guys, are you ready?

Prima whirred as its power readings became stronger.
As the group readied to leave the room, Prima wondered if Dr. Santon was going to survive this.
Prima's speech engine beeped.
"I'm ready. I can go ahead and scout for possible enemies, if it is the will of the group."
Two dual gauss cannons came out each side of the arachnid's reinforced torso, and Prima followed the rest of the group.
"Any idea of where we'll get that scout?"- Arklon asked, while staring at Dr. Santon.

{Uh, I can access information from the colony's databases... *cough* So I'm going to ignore that last thing you made me say in that post.}
Santon looked at Arklon, and stated, "The man who just walked through the door would be Phantom." Then, he looked at Phantom and said, "The other man in this room is Arklon. I've told you about him before. The arachnid is codenamed 'PrimaT-IV'. You can call him Prima for short."
Arklon told Santon, "Give me a moment to work out a scout model." He paused for a few seconds, then continued, "I've got it. This model should be slightly faster than a scout, and can hold up to 4 passengers. I'm uploading it to the vehicle construction database. There's a vehicle factory not far from here; the workers there have been given a day off. We need to get to there and produce it.
"You will need to follow me there. Prima, you need to stay ahead of us and make sure that our path is clear."

"Well, it seems we have an interesting group here." Phantom said as he looked around.
"I briefly looked at a colony scematic, and it seems that there are service tubes that run below the personnel tubes that run between the buildings."
"I would suggest that we take those access ways to get to the Vehicle factory unknoticed."
Santon nodded his head, "Since Prima is a scorpion, Arklon and Phantom are illegal 'weapons', and I am wanted for numerous crimes, stealth can be our only option."
Santon opened a trap door in the floor, "This leads to the service corador. Prima, you climb down first," Santon throws Arklon a grenade, "Arklon, cover our rear."
Santon then picked up a discarded portable computer that was on the ground. He then threw it to Phantom.
"Phantom, you navagate. And as for me, I am going to communicate with my lab AI and try to get us an armed escort out of here."
Prima beeped in acknowledgement, and climbed down into the shaft, followed by Phantom and Dr. Santon.
Arklon then set the sequencer on the grenade, and jumped down into the shaft.
The grenade went off, sealing the tunnel off.

{The vehicle factory is in the edge of the colony, with Dr. Santon's lab north and slightly east of it.}
It was fairly hot in the service tube; it wasn't as brightly lit as the rest of the colony; every footstep they took echoed throughout the tube. The group was walking through the labriynth-like system, all following Phantom's path. They all feared the thought of being found. Santon pulled out his remote communicator, and linked to his lab AI. The ear piece of the communicator said, "Please state 6 digit security code." Santon said into the mouth piece, "5-4-3-1-4-7". The ear piece said, "Code confirmed." Santon ordered, "I need an armed escort out of the OUF colony. Is that possible?" The AI said, "Affirmative. Sending units 1.5 kilometers from your position."
They walked through the tube for a while longer. Finally, Phantom said, "This is it. The trap door is above us." It seemed they walked for days in the tube, although it couldn't have been longer than 35 minutes. Dr. Santon lifted the trap door up, and pushed it out of the way. The four climbed up the shaft onto the bottom of the vehicle factory.
"I need to get up there", Arklon said as he pointed up toward the control room. "There, I can produce the vehicle." Arklon then proceeded up a gray, metal ladder, up on to a platform made up of metal bars, and supported by metal tubes. He walked through a glass door into a room with several computers. When he was inside, he went to the computer in the center, and entered commands to make the vehicle.
The gears in the factory's machines began moving, you could hear sparks flying as the machinery welded parts on to the vehicle, and the clanging of metal. Arklon climbed back down to the bottom floor. Dr. Santon, Arklon, Phantom, and Prima watched as the vehicle took form. After a little more than 5 minutes, the vehicle was ready. Dr. Santon entered the driver's seat, Arklon and Phantom went in passenger seats, and Prima walked behind the vehicle. They took off to the lab, meeting with the armed escort.

The armed escort was fairly powerful. It consisted of two RPG Panthers and one Thor's Hammer Lynx. Prima loaded the gauss cannons, and, from afar, looked like a walking one-man army.
Just as the party was setting off, something metallic fell from the factory's ceiling creating a loud bang.
Prima immediately turned to face an ESG Lynx that appeared from nowhere, and dodging one of the missiles, fired three gauss shots at it, hitting the wheels and the body.
A missile missed the Scout only by bare milimeters. Dodging another salvo, Prima fried the Lynx's turret with a Thor's Hammer blast, and the vehicle was reduced to a burning, charcoal-coloured wreck.
Prima's cams glanced at the Scout.
"See? This is how close they are. We have to get the hell out of here!" - Dr. Santon yelled, irritated.
The vehicles immediately departed, with Prima graciously accompanying them, always with the radars out for dangers.

The surface on which the vehicle was travelling on was rough. Arklon could feel the vehicle bounce up and down slightly. Behind the vehicle, there was just a trail of dust. For several minutes, that was all he sensed. Then, the vehicle slowed down to a stop at a heavily guarded laboratory.
Each one of them entered the large lab facility. Arklon walked into a place he had never seen before. It was filled with many tools, large tubes, machinery, parts, test tubes, computers... thinking about all of it at once made him dizzy.

Prima entered the lab behind them and found something in a corner. Analyzing it with its sensors, it came to the conclusion that the monolithic object was a magnetohidrodynamic central power core.
Prima beeped at Dr. Santon to come over and see...

Dr. Santon walked over and asked, "What is it?" He looked at the contraption that Prima was looking at. "That specific power core isn't meant for your chassis. However, I do have some MHD power cores that you could use on the 2nd floor. Follow me."

Prima followed. Halfway, Prima tapped Dr. Santon with a tweezer.
"What is it?" - Dr. Santon inquired.
"My sensors detect an unit on rapid approach to the lab." - Prima said.
"This can't be good..."

{The Compound is a single, large structure. It is surrounded by a special wall that is a combination of microbe and lava defence research. The first level of the compound is the Vehicle Factory, Structure Factory, and the Garage levels. The second level is the research and testing level. The top level is the Command level. There are also inactive guard posts surrounding the perimeter also.}
Santon turned on a monitor, it showed a microbe scout closing in.
"Not good, the microbes found us.. Prima, go destroy the intruder, and secure the perimeter. But first..."
Santon in a matter of minutes, installed a high-energy MHD power core into Prima.
"Now go!"
Prima acknowledged and left.
Santon then got on the comm. "Arklon, this is Santon, I need you to go outside and re-attach the turrets' power supply and activate them."
"I'll get on that. Arklon out."
"Phantom, get up here to Command Level. I need you to get our forces ready for a fight. We're going to need a lot of lynx."
Santon watched the long-range scanner as it showed other enemies following the scout...

Prima dashed out of The Compound to meet the enemies. It was a relatively weak force for now, but every second more microbe units were detected on the long-range radars.
Hiding behind a guard post, Prima loaded the Thor's Hammer emitter, waited until the microbe tank came within range and then dodged its laser shots, its nine legs marking the sand.
The scorpion saw the moment of opportunity and a blinding lightning bolt dashed from the emitter and straight into the Lynx's turret, frying internal systems and immobilizing it.
Prima saw Arklon running near one of the GP's and a microbe Panther almost running him over. Beeping loudly, the arachnid ran to Arklon and fired a Gauss shot at the microbe unit, only putting a dent on it's armor.
Prima gripped Arklon with its tweezers and ran quickly behind one of the security walls. The Panther tried to locate the robot, and started moving around. The scorpion, dashing from behind the security wall, ran behind the Panther and fired a simultaneous microwave and Gauss shot, churning the turret.
But before Prima had the chance to get back to Arklon a second microbe Lynx had came behind it and fired its laser, which hit Prima near one of the leg servos, cutting down its freedom of movement. The scorpion ran inside the Compound, and checked that Arklon had just powered up a Thor's Hammer GP, which he fired at the Lynx, effectively putting it out of combat. Arklon ran into the Compound and the doors shut just as four more microbe Lynxes came over the dunes, firing several ESG's and Stickyfoam capsules, which dented the building's armor.
Prima walked slowly to the lab and talked to Dr. Santon about the microbe units.
"They are on rapid approach and are many." - Prima informed.
Dr. Santon was about to reply as a violent shock rocked the Compound, and he noticed the dent on Prima's backmost left leg...

{Wow, no replies in a long time...
I haven't been as active in this lately because I've been working on my website. I'm currently working on the admin panel. When that's done, I'll work on the site. Once everything is finished, I should hopefully be more active here.}
Arklon's communication device crackled. It was the voice of Dr. Santon. "How many guard posts are powered up?" Arklon replied, while making his way to unpowered guard posts, "Sixteen out of twenty-three. Seven more to go."
Arklon was fumbling about with the cord of a power supply box, about to power up the guard post, when an RPG whizzed over his head. Behind him, the guard post exploded, and the ground shook. Arklon was knocked off his feet by the force of the explosion. His environmental suit had dirt streaks on it, and some of it was torn now. Arklon slowly got back up to his knees.

Phantom's fingers dashed maddingly across the keys, then acknowledgement lights came on, and several holographic screens appeared around the command center.
"I have full control now. Sending in the calvary.."
twenty thor's hammer tigers, 30 railgun panthers, and countless laser lynx sprang to life and charged into the fray.
"Doctor, even with our forces they still outnumber us 3:1. We will not survive unless we get all the turrets operational."
Santon clicked on his com. "Arklon, Prima, the bots will cover you, get the turrets online as fast as you can."
Acknowledgement lights winked on.
"Doctor, I am sending our ten cargo trucks to begin gathering more ore. We will need it for a counter attack."
"What do you mean by 'counter attack'?" Santon said with a interested expression.
Phantom smiled. "Let's just say that I have remembered some in-feild tactics that will make us able to destroy the close by microbe base. That sould give us some peace until they send reinforcements from their main base."
"Then, why don't we teach those colonists that we don't like being fired upon."
Santon smiled, "Whatever you say. When this battles done, we'll hold a discussion."

Arklon said to Santon via the communication device, "Just one more..."
Santon responded, "Excellent. However, that single guard post could chan--"
Suddenly, a microbe RPG panther fired at Arklon. An explosion appeared in front of him, making a smoking crater. When the smoke cleared, Arklon's skin had been burned, and, in some spots, torn off, leaving some of his internal devices exposed. Arklon struggled to his knees. His HUD said, "Repairing...". The last of his wounds closed.
Suddenly, he felt just as he had before the RPG hit him. He got up on his feet, and began making his way to the last guard post.
