I found this Topic: http://forum.outpostuniverse.net/index.php?showtopic=2095 (http://forum.outpostuniverse.net/index.php?showtopic=2095)
Mcshay said, that "by launching a missle directly at a laser array, the missle will always hit the array."
I tested this, but every time I launched a missile at the laser array, it didn`t get hit.
Maybe because I researched Precision Trajectory Projection Software? Or was it luck?

I seem to remember something about the bug being fixed.
Don't know for sure though.
-
I used version 1.0
-
I think you had to launch it at a specific tile on the array. I also seem to recall that, if you did so, other MDs in range would also fail to destroy it. I'm not sure if this particular bug got fixed, though I know something was fixed about MDs and their ability to shoot down missiles.
-
Come to think of it, I think the bug is still there.
What was fixed, was the "chance" that the MD would actually hit the missile.

Yeah, LOP Abused that trick during one game, and I found it annoying. I think that a general rule should be, don't EMP the center, just to play fair...
-
Well, the answer is simple. If people cheat//exploit bugs/Break rules.. Just tell them to stop. If they don't, just quit the game.
-
I once accidently clicked the center (seriously, I randomly clicked on the screen only to find that it was the center) and whomever I was playing at the time went from having a good time to too suspicious to have any fun. I haven't played a multi game since then, heh

Play more then n0 0b.

Uhhh i thought you just had them turned off or nonfunctional.
Darn did not even notice it was against rules; i will not do it again though, onest.
-
lol, tell you what bomber, I'll make a map, you place the colonies (and I don't mean just throwing the buildings in randomly!) and then I'll play against you on that map :P
-
no worries lop, guess i really shouldnt have mentioned your name, just was stating the point. its any as hell, for i figured having 2 MD's beside each other would counter the problem, but it didnt...
-
It didn't, because OP2 draws a connection between the meteor (or missile) and a MD.
In other words, the meteor(or missile) searches for an MD to destroy it. And it only searches for one. If that one fails, the meteor (or missile) will hit.
-
I seem to recall one game where I had to MD's target a meteor at the same time. It only happened once, so it was probably a hiccup in the computer's memmory
