Title: Try To Play A "no Conflict Game"
Post by: HappyMan on June 24, 2009, 12:45:03 PM
It was recommended that users have the same version running when starting a saved game on another computer.  Attached is the file: SGAME10.OP2.  (4KB)  This run is a minimal but stable condition.  If one believes (as I do) that the game can be won without conflict, this is an example of how I started.  (Apparently this works on 1.3.0.4 R2 only)  Seems not all file types have been resolved for interoperability between versions.  Happens a lot during upgrades, revisions, etc.

I'm using 1.3.0.4  complete.  (R2).  "get the latest one" -what OP2? I had to add all *.OP2 files into beta 2 to even look for the Load file.  All I got was an error.  The versions are not compatable in the respect to file type.  No wonder you have so many copies.

Edit, not add reply. And get the latest one from the website, otherwise it isn't gonna work (nevermind the fact I've got more copies of OP2 than yogurts in my fridge).

Hmm, it doesn't work. Error reading file.

It just says it can't load it and 1.3.5 doesn't even see it.

Well, I guess it's half-correct to say OP2 1.3.5 is incompatible with saves made with previous versions.  It would be more correct to say that any copy of OP2 with the "increased unit limit" patch is incompatible with saves made with a version of the game without said patch (and vice-versa).
