I am waiting for a new tool to come out this year (cannot say which tool or when as it is private information).  I will be working with a team I've been assembling at college to do various Game Design and Game Programming projects to be seen through to completion.  (Independant study and Comp Sci special projects group)

With any luck - I will have enough resources and some of those guys will be interested in maknig a very outpost-like game (Not an actual OP3 as we will be doing it for the sole purpose of finishing it and publishing it).

I'll keep you guys posted.

Another quick update...

I am likely going to bash out a very rapid project while the rest of the guys come up to speed.  I'm thinking Outpost related - literally a mini-game and honestly I hope it is on par with Colony Search :)  But prettier.

that would be cool
