this is a wiki article on venus, i recoment you all read it before posting here.

Known things:
-acid atmosphere or at least rain
-volcanicly active

Unknown things:
-same solar system? i think this unlikely because the starship had ion thrusters and they would not be viable for interpalanetary, only interstellar.
-blight?
-weather(refer to wiki article)
-big crustal rearangement thing(again, refer to wiki article)
-why both landed here?

We have been over this many many times.

And there is no such thing as Acid rain on venus it never touches the ground due to the powerful updraft caused by the heat.

There are a few threads that deal with this might be locked as they reached a conclusion please look around.  I know there are alot of threads.
