All of blizzard RTS interfaces look like that Warcraft 1 - 3 Thousand.

Humorously, I like the pic. There are quite a few things I like about the SC interface. There are certainly things I like about the OP interface too.

What didn't you guys like about the SC interface?

I think there's a lot of wasted space, but I like the quick interface buttons. I like being able to queue units, but I don't think that's well suited for OP. I also don't think there's enough information or ways to get to it.

I'm also not sure if I like the interface along the bottom/top of the screen, or along the sides.

I just hate Starcraft. Blizzard made its millions by ripping off other people's work and selling it to noobs too young to grasp the fact.

Terrans, Protoss and Zerg are all ripped off directly from Warhammer 40K (most of all), Aliens (especially Terrans and Zerg), Starwars and Star Trek (to a much lesser extent).

Its like.... anyone worth their salt should despise Starcraft because of how glaring the ripoffs are. Its like how so many people had no clue that there was a War of the Worlds BEFORE Tom Cruise. Its like Runescape, if you really knew what you were doing youd play something better. Starcraft sucks not for how it was implemented, but for what it is: the droppings of much better franchises.

Made in Photo shop in like 10 mins.

It dont have the buttons and its only 640 x 480  but youll get the idea minor changes to this already good layout are what we need.  Maybe even a Skin for each colony you play Eden would be like that up there Brushed steel Plymouth would be Oxidized brown paint with some rust spots or bubbles.

just In case people didn't know...in warcraft 1 and 2 the game GUI was placed on the side (I think right for wc1 and left for wc2) The starcraft GUI is the first of its kind (for Blizzard I mean) WC3 just took the basic Idea of starcraft GUI!
