lol, we don't need to answer the questions involving life on other worlds, the spicies has extinction issues of it's own to focus on.
But on a related topic, why didn't the colonists from earth save other spicies as well?

because they didnt have the time and they take up to much space and the game didnt need to mimic Noahs arch

maynot have all animal with them but did brings some like pigs and cows I imaged.

These animals would need to be able to run around free, they wouldnt last long in captivity, and you can imagine how long they'd last outside in teh world.

I'm sure they're tucked away somewhere in one of the Gene Banks.
They just don't have the resources to do anything about it.

all need dna creature thats it, then they grow them when safefly land and start colony on planet.

then why didnt they? Clone a few dogs for people, or cats? Or build a few cows to farm? There could be a cattle farm structure, a... beefidome? Lol
My point is, if they had animal DNA in the gene bank, they probably would have used it. Also, they had the Human DNA because they finished the Human Genome Project a few years before leaving earth, how many animals would they have had knowledge of a complete genome for?

I already told you why they didn't clone animals.
They don't have the time or resources to waste on pets for people.
Besides, you wouldn't want to have leave your dog behind to get eaten by the Blight, would you? No.

Actual before human gnome project they had of few animals with complete gnome of them too since do lot less gene to isolate :P
Reason did not use in outpost2 is as sirbomber said bright, they constantly keep move around to get away bright so more to worry about like survivaly then to have animal run around.

why not have a meat building in op3, it would provide food and would raise morale, but would lower morale if built close to the residences (the stench lol)

builds enclosed and doors so it would not lower morale. Though think eden would have this since at lest outpost 2 want make like earth. Plemothy try live with the planet so tyicaly would not.

Somehow I don't think slaughtering animals would be a big morale boost for the colonists. They all strike me as vegetarians.

Do you know how big a Cattle Ranch building would have to be? IT WOULD BE f***ING HUGE. Live stock have to move you can just pin them up. And the power and food requirments would be insane. They cant run around outside because livestock wouldnt really like Rocksuits and there would be no way to feed them in the suits with out it leaking its atmo.

lol this is a funny idea i dont think this would work very well because all the other storys never said anything about anamails and the game is saposed o fallow and continue the story. :op2: :op2:

The farm building is a super bad idea, and like Fresa said it would be HUGE. it would be like 4 advanced labs. I think in outpost 3 they could have pets maby becase I havent read anywhere that there will be blight in OP3.

the large animals yes would be a problem, but small animals like rabbits would be perfect for people to get the taste of meat they want
they are small, don't require a lot of space, have high quality meat, and reproduce rapidly
that is what is thought would be the fresh meat component on a mars mission, they would have a small green house and a rabbit pen, and would eat a combination of fresh meat and vegetables and prepacked food from earth
so I could think an agradome could have a small corner where it would have a rabbit hut or something, game play wise it would not affect it at all

You realy think that some how if that was true, that you would eat a rabbit burgger? If I were them to me thats a morale drop. Thats just discusting! Rabbit Burggers? If I found out I was eatting a rabbit I would barf. (thumbsdown)
Maby they could just sthinthosize meat? Like they could call it Sintho-Steak. Id eat that.

ive eaten rabbit, its not that bad, I would defonatly perfer it over some tofu substitute

i dont think they would eat some thing as bad as tofu (because tofu doesnt have any thing in it to really keep you alive) Veggies is what i see. And remember A few rabits in a pin you cant be serious. Chicken Farms are f***ing huge and there is a reason for that. Even tho the population is alot smaller then say earth but you cant just have one to one you have to have one to three because if every one eats one then there is nothing left to eat. You wouldnt even want to do fish because of the water requirements. Colony life would be that of minimalists. No meats just beans and salads maybe some breads.

Because for some reason every one that plays op2 thinks there needs to be cattle roaming around in rock suits lol.
Because its a way of thinking went not a minimalist you have beef eat it. But when there requirements are to great you cant have it. Survival of the fittest and the fittest doesnt have to eat meat.

You are right. The only nutrient in meat that we realy need is protein. We can get that in the soy stuff. You cant be fit without protien, thats why they have soy stuff. Why would they want to eat meat? They havent had meat since they left earth. Only Axen Moon would remember eatting maby.

There won't be aliens in op3 and there won't be cattle.
We can talk about new factions later, but not here and not now.
