Title: Stack Overflow

Can anyone please tell me what to do with the following:

I continually receive a Application error: Stack overflow when playing outpost 1. This usually happens after between turn 150 - 300. Any advice?

Strange that I should be the one to solve my own problem...
I solved the stack overflow problem by saving the game more regularly in new savegame files. I don't know exactly why this worked, but it solved my problem. Maybe someone that knows more about memory etc can tell me why this worked, if not, thats fine also.
