I've already started on for the plymouth campaign. It's a very slow process.
I might actively put effort into it if theres enough interest.
-
what is a walktrought campaign? :hack:
-
isn't there a walkthrough by Sierra that comes with the game?
-
this would be great
good work :)
-
yea sierra has a walkthrough for both the eden and ply campains, frankly if I hadnt have read it, I doubt I would have been able to complete the campain lol
-
I'd use it!
-
SIerra's walkthrough is pretty extensive. Have you read it, Shuffles? It should be in your "Outpost 2 Divided Destiny\Docs" folder.

A LONG. FREAKING. TIME. AGO.
So long in fact, that I forgot it existed.
Mine, of course, would be better.
EDIT: Wow, that Sierra one would be pretty hard to top details-wise. However it is somewhat long winded with lots of scrolling/searching to do, perhaps just a more readable version would be good.
There is however a few additional things I would like to put in mine:
-time-marks of all disasters.
-details about all waves of attackers.
-alternate strategies(or fun stuff you can do)
But still, that guide is pretty complete. I must not read it otherwise it may change how I write mine (if I do)

Good ideas with those three points! Good luck.
Couldn't you copy and paste a bunch of sierra's stuff, and add your own info to it, and cut out anything you don't need? I think that would be faster, easier, and more reliable.
-
Well theres some stuff I could copy/paste. But more the most part I would want to write my own material. Typically, I don't 100% agree with what Sierra says. So in those cases I would modify it. Although, Sierra's stuff (as far as I remember) is pretty good.
But yeah, in general theres stuff I could pull from there.

I'd use the walk-through, depending what it would be like: if it is too lengthy, i won't use it. It should be brief, but just enough to get someone through. I've only managed to complete medium campaigns. On hard i stranded somewhere in mission 6 if remember correctly.

Yes, this thread is out-of-date, but it's a good idea. How is it going?

f*** I can't even do Mission 2...I tried once. Even though I went as fast as I could, Blight kicked my ass. :P

The first thing you should do is build 3 residences and 3 medical centers, and don't bother building another Tokamak, it's just a loss of resources.

Errr...Mission 2...the one with the Basic Lab...I didn't make it to Mission 3
-
:heh: Sorry
You're playing in what difficulty?
-
Hey neat idea! It would be painful to write out the steps to EVERY mission but perhaps a basic "stragety guide" could be made? I know that this site has research/tech build sequence instructions to get upgraded mic lynx for example.
Perhaps something like this:
Mission xyz:
Priorities
1. Morale
2. Ore
3. Weapons
4. Research (done throughout of course)
(lets say after 10 min. of game playing time the priority would change because attacks on the colony are bigger or more frequent.)
New prioritity order:
1. Ore (to build weapons!)
2. Weapons (for defense/attack)
3. morale (if people die, what can one build?)
Meh, kind of a stinky draft but there it is. I thought the idea would be neat because when new people come, people who have never played before, they could turn to some type of direction to practice campaigning. (oh ya, happy holidays ppl!)
