Title: What Is Your Favorite Rts?
Post by: dm-horus on December 04, 2005, 10:08:43 PM
What is your favorite RTS and why? Is it real time or turn-based (ignore "RTS" if yes)? Is it part of a series? If so, which in the series is your favorite? What is your favorite RTS game feature and why? Is it unique to the title? What improvements would you like to see made to RTS games?

(If OP2 is your favorite name your second favorite)

Age of Mythology
real time
no, but there's an expansion pack for it that continues where it left off
the myth units, 'cause they are real mythical creatures from history
maybe
none, it would ruin the game to change anything about it

Geeze, there are so many I've played and loved.

OP2 is of course on here.
Warcraft I & II, Starcraft, Dune 2 & 2000, C&C, C&C Red Alert. Probably more that are escaping me at the moment.

Civ was a great turn based game.

As for why I loved them. Don't know. Maybe I'll get back to this once I'm done my Q & A with CK9.  <_<

it would be interesting to log into the forum and get a message that reads "Warning: Electrical Storm Approaching" and a couple hours later "Your CC has been destroyed."
