I'm not sure what to use. #outpost2.cw is nice and short but #outpost2.colonywars has a more obvious name.

.colonywars would be more obvious and offer less confusion for new members. seasoned irc users new to opu wouldnt find it difficult to locate. its up to you, lev. either way is good.

Yeah, I was thinking ColonyWars might be a little more obvious. I think I'd avoid the cw option. It gets to be too confusing when too many acronyms get used. Kinda like unix command shells. Too many 2 letter abreviations to remember.  :(

Btw, is this based more on the Outpost series? Or specifically on OP2. If it's not specifically on OP2, then maybe don't use the Outpost2 channel prefix. From what I gather, this is sounding more turn based/Outpost 1 - ish. (But I may have to do a little more reading here).

just using the #outpost2 prefex because we us that for most opu channels. op2 is our main game.

but could do another indivuial channel name.

any ideas post em?

its a outpost series game but as u can c from the building thread it uses op2 buildings, and its gonna use op2 units.

well dont forget that each of the channel got an introduction so it may clarify things by that way ... i still think that cw is the best
