ok, ive had this weard graphic problem with op2
whenever I scroll to a portion of the map where there are no buildings or units, the graphics blur togather, but if I put a unit or building there, it stops being blurry
also it seems like the blurryness is completly random, because I can look at a place on the map and it will be blurry, than I can scroll away, and back, and it wont be blurry
if you need a screen shot, I can supply it for you
just wondering why this is happoning, and mabe a way to fix it, it dosnt affect gameplay, but its annying as heck
-
I've never seen what your talking about. Is it new?
-
nope been going on for months, its just now that ive gotten fed up with it and rememberd to post about it lol
-
I'd like to see a screen shot.
The closest I've seen to a blur is how it draws the screen tile by tile, and if you pause the game when scrolling, you can get it to stop with only the top portion of the screen scrolled over.
-
is your computer really slow? or are you running a lot of programs?
maybe you need a new graphics card
-
ive also had gfx problems like the selection box staying on screen. also sometimes wen i start a game on 1600x1200 the screen in black cept from where buildings/units are
-
I've encountered the problem described by Betaray aswell, but I have just taken it for a complication from the things done to op2. (Adding of maps etc)
Forme it has never been a big problem though, just some blurry square around the edges of the screen.
-
well over areas with no buildings or units, the entire screen could become blurry
and my computer itself isnt slow, but it dosnt have a graphics card, it uses the cpu for graphics, wich sux because I cant even play UT 2004 on lowest resolution
when I get home I'll post a screen shot
-
I would be guessing that just your cpu doesn't have the graphic power to do what you want.
heck! I didn't even know a computer had a built in graphic thingy

Sounds more like a bug than anything else. After all, think of the computing power back when OP2 was released. It shouldn't take a whole lot.
Do these problems occur with original levels? Or a CD install? Or only (so far?) on new levels/maps? What kinda conditions does this stuff occur under?

Is it possible that your monitor is having the craps?
Might have something to do with the right (or wrong) colors next to each other. I've seen odd stuff like that happen. (Certain colors blur together)
The integrated chipset *could* be an issue, maybe it's faulty.
But yes, get a screen shot.
-
its not the monitor, because it goes away when a unit goes into it
also I took this shot with the new map because it has no day light change, and it makes it alot easier to see, but it happonds with all maps
btw, i cant post the img without an admin, so Ill have to do somthing with hacker

nice grafix bug...
i have one too: seen it 3 times now, same map, roughly in the same area: an never-ending explosion! it is a grafix bug... units can drive thru it without being damaged, so technically it's not there.
anyone seen that before ?

I posted the imige on the test forum under the title, weard op2 pic
-
The only thing I've seen like this is if you move the screen at just the right time with d/n on the tiles get all screwed up for a second.
-
nope, it stayed like that untill I moved the screen to a part with buildings on it
and it looks like that everytime I look somewhere where there are no units, so most of the time Im commanding with the minimap lol
