I only have dialup (for now), and can only download 1 or 2 megs at a time. Does anyone have the floppies that I could download?
-
im not sure if the server supports restartable downloads. have you tried a downlaod manager such as net ants etc? or cute-ftp
i know no one with the floppies sry. however i could split the op1 rar file into 10 meg chunks for you to downlaod easier

If needed, I have the OUTPOST Launch Control Disk... well, the floppy finally failed but I managed to get it off the floppy before it died on me.

Yes, the server supports download resume. (As is a feature of HTTP 1.1)
If someone is willing to, we can put the floppy images on the website.

I would be grateful. I cannot download anything larger than about 2 megs, so the floppies are my only chance to play OP1.
-
the download resumer i use is GetRight.
Anyway, i used to have the floppys but they got formated.
I could pack the outpost 1 package which is on our site into many 2mb files. Once you can all you just extract and you have the whole game.

I've got the original CD and could break the ISO into floppy disk sized RARs and place them on the site, assuming I have permission to do so and am so requested as well. As a rough estimate (since I haven't made the ISO or RAR files yet and am simply going off disk size) I'd say it would be around 460* files. That's the whole original disk, complete with the VO that sometimes works.
EDIT: *Denotes approximately 1.44 MB sized files.

uhg, dont bother. maybe you could volumize the file sinto maybe 25mb apiece, but 2mb is a poor replacement for the floopys. ild just ifnd someone with a genuine version and put them up. perhaps packaged into orginal images and a complete install, like we have 4 op2. extract, go. ( <3 no registry in win31)
