I tried to log in today to IRC, and it says im 'G-Lined', im guessing someone in the area around me got G-lined, making me G-lined..... -_-....

HELP lol

Well what is it telling you for the Gline reason?

When you connect it's gonna say "Closing Link" etc, Quakenet always displays the Gline reason.

What you could try to do is set up your IRC client to connect via a proxy. I know I've posted how to do this before on the forums so run a search for yourself, it's pretty simple actually. (That way your IP will be masked when you connect)

You can get temporarily glined for more than 5 connections from a single IP without a trust. Or if you have an open proxy server on your PC.

It is possible though that they glined your ISP, so if you can't get around it some way you might need to go to their website and email them. (I think they have some way for resolving glines)

You are not a network service? wtf?

Try switching your nick before you connect.

And is your client trying to do something odd (with the network service stuff)? You could always try reinstalling IRC from the package if it does something really weird.

Thats just the color codes.

Like I said, go into mirc settings and change your nickname before reconnecting !

true i have the same problem with web irc irc etc... even tho my licence is expired  :lol:
