heres a background of 'new terra' but terraformed correctly, without the blight ;p.
-
Quality :D
What app used?
Maybe you could help to make new tilesets for op2..
-
He used a program called TerraGen ( I recognize it)
You can't really use it to make tiles. It's definatly very difficult.
Not to mention, unless you have the registered version of the program, you won't get good enough quality.
-
how nice, an outpost background.
I don't know if that is possible, but can you place buildings on it, or maybe just a few vehicles or anything? it looks so empty.
-
You need the 3d models of them to place them. I know Zircon made a adv lab, a starship and probly a few others. Be nice if he shared :)
-
Yeah, i think the quality isnt the greatest.
I use Bryce 5 for producing any terrain-looking types of things.
And yeah, it would be nice if people shared the 3ds or other files that they used to make OP2 objects. Lots of renders but no 3ds files :(
-
if that darn attach button were still here
i could attach the files i created to make the world in Terragen ;p
made it from scratch (thumbsup) (thumbsup)
-

Stormy where did u get terragen? Did u get a legal version or u got it of a p2p network?
-
its the legal one.. im not using it commercially so i dont have to pay (not making money off my renders)
And, i cant quite make stuff with colonies yet.. i need a way to import objects.. and the new one could do that.. but its $100, even for the legal one...
-

maybe the terraformed New Terra HAS snow and water
-
Well, New Terra isn't fully teraformed yet. But it should be well on its way.
I would think that liquid water is beginning to form around the equatorial regions at this point.
BTW, parrothead1983,
Where did you find that image?
-
yea i like the idea of a terra formed new terra and the pics of it :)
leeor_net its from Outpost 1, its on the front cover i have of it.
-
called New Terra Sunset....
I'm not criticizing this beautiful image, but a reflection of the sun (or star) is ALWAYS the same size as the original. It can only be bigger of the surface of the water were a perfect convace, which would go straight against all laws of physics (concerning gravity)
Nevertheless, nice pics :)

I found one:
this looks like the pic on my op1 cover, but as if taken from a different angle or something.
same style of pic, different content

No, the front cover of OP1 has logos and whatnot as well as text tatooed all over it. This one is clear. It looks like a poster image or the artwork before being changed.

No, this is the exact same image, same shot, same content, same everything. This is just a COMPLETE image rather than the partial one from the front cover of the box.
