It's funny, but my CD-ROM drive is from 1995, and yet works way better than any new ones(and doesn't scratch anything).

My brother lost several games to a 48x though.

Post by: Mez on May 01, 2004, 08:47:39 AM: I still have an unscratched op2 cd, it seems that i have a couple of pin sized burn holes in it from when my really old pc (from 98) crashed and wouldn't eject the cd. But it still works.

O yea an i selected the wrong option on the poll (oops) it shud be the "yes, unscratched" not no, but recoqnisable" so plz ignore.

Haven't seen the original in years! So I don't know if it's scratched.

But the many backups are still unscratched. I went a little crazy making the extra copies when I found the original was gone. I've probably got at least 5 floating around, just in case. :unsure:

2 are scratched (1 right across the movies, so it freezes), 1 is unscratched.

Post by: op2rules on June 10, 2004, 06:44:42 PM: I think i have the original CD. it may be a crack. does the original CD have a simular picture as on the box? does it have the web at the bottom? is it only grey with black writing? if so i got the original CD. it only got a few scrathes from running of course but it has a few deep heavy ones too from putting it in my dad distructive CD drive lol. but i hardly run it now that i got the no CD. lol

btw, i even have a small pocket sized cd of the downloadible version of op2 (no music or vids)

I have both games, unscratched as well. I need to make copies of them ASAP.

well why would there be an Outpost2 if there wasn't a game that already held the name (and basic storyline) of Outpost?
