Title: Discord question
Post by: lightbrand on October 11, 2019, 03:06:55 AM
Is there a discord server for the outpost universe? I could make one if anyone is interested.

Most people use discord now for gaming. it's like a combination of chat rooms (channels) and teamspeak options (voice) for those unfamiliar with it.

We had at least one Discord server for awhile, but people around here seem to prefer IRC.

That and some of the admins are a bit against it. I experimented with it in the past and still think it's a good idea.

Fair.

Discord is better for bringing new blood to the game ( and bringing outpost 2 emojis to life.) but it gives people a greater chance to meet the forums from google than a discord server would.

I wouldn't mind a Discord channel. I've rather liked it the times I've used it for pair programming sessions.

I guess I don't really use real-time chat all that much. This topic hasn't been a part of my awareness.

If I get at least 5 people involved we can get a decent discord server going.

can always post a discord in here and a mod can sticky it and if anyone wants to join it they can with ease.

Updated the link and set it to never expire. First post has good link.
