In the intro for Outpost 2 the savant computer states that the mission briefing is for 'your eyes only', 'you' being the player playing the commander.
However, I think that everything said in that briefing is common knowledge around New Terra, like that Earth was hit by a meteor and the colonization of New Terra, the issue about Eden and Plymouth and everything. So, why is the briefing so secret?

sometimes stuff is public knowledge but videos/photos are classified maybe its realy for your "eyes" only ^^

I think it is generally saying that the whole game is the top secret thing, since the video starts "Historical Overview", so probably was just saying "Let's catch you up" not so much "Only you can know this".

Oh, so it refers to what happened after the historical overview, I get it.
