Ok, so i was playing with Plymouth starship II and twice after a meteor i found half my buildings out of commission. i thought 'ok, it killed the connecting building' upon further investigation however, i discovered a tube tile missing. the first time i kissed it off as one of my 6 bulldozers doing a stupid. the second time though was different. no bulldozers where going at the time, and my earthworkers where on a separate place in the map working on the massive blight wall, and this particular AI dose not function with tub-cutting. I checked into it and a meteor had hit my spaceport and after that i had over half my structures go out due to lack of a command center. I'll upload a picture and all the edits i made to the tech files i used during the incident, though the tube information was not in any way altered.

Make a test map and try to recreate the results.
-
ok, will do. i guess i'll auto create a spaceport every time it's destroyed and fire meteors after it non-stop wile surrounded by tubes.
hey, doesn't the tubes have an HP of 300?
-
building.txt says 2500 hitpoints
-
why cant all my buildings be made out of that stuff!? lol
-
Maybe because tubes are underground so the surface adds protection
-
I dont remember meteors being able to destroy tubes only lava being able to do that. the only time i know you cant build a tube is on world size maps the transition peice of the map a tube cant be built. I havent played op2 in a while though so i cant remember if this map has this same problem.
-
well i am altering the .txt's so i can utilize the 3 bars. mabie the tubes are being checked by the lava possible tiles when any damage is detected.
-
That would make sense, but I'm fairly certian I've played a few Plymouth Population Colony builders with tube on lava possible tiles struck by meteor without any problem. Granted this was before the eruption, so I can't say for certian.
