did i miss it somewhere? when did rare ore go away? i've done the sandbox missions and i've gotten metalology or however it's spelled and rare ore didn't pop up as a research in my advanced lab. did i miss something? or was there a vote that said new colony games won't have rare ore in them? hell the eden colony one that came with the game download didn't even have rare ore...what gives guys? rare ore was awsome!

Uhhh... Perhaps you should check out the techtree in detail?
Rare Ore requires "Rare Ore Processing" which requires:
Cybernetic Teleoperation
High-Temperature Superconductivity
Metallogeny
