Thank you and good luck :)

Nope.  We don't have the source code.
You'll have to use... WINE, I think it's called?

Yep, you'll have to use WINE
Wine is a funny acronym though... Wine Is Not an Emulator xD

Sorry for uber necro of thread, but I successfully got it to work on Backtrack 4 prerelease, which is based off Ubuntu 8.10. I can help you configure it in WINE if you are still interested. I did have some problems with the sound, but I found a workaround. Additionally if you put the computer into standby, it doesn't wake up quite right.

It's usually not considered a bad necro if you have something useful to add.

Good to hear you got some fixing done.

as far as i know the only problem with wine and OP2 is if you play in full screen it can happen that there are some glitches like the screen size of the game gets not right ajusted to the game else in windowed mode the game works like out of the box with wine ( if you know how to install games in wine )

I never thought of that problem in WINE. I always just had the game maximized within WINE, and resized WINE if I wanted to have it windowed. The sizing problem you described only happens if you enable scaling to 100%. Put it at 95% and you get a small blue border, but nothing is clipped.

Once I learn how to export my configuration I'll post it up in a new thread, where a mod can sticky it if he deems worthwhile.
