Can somebody make a translate of OP2 in French ? (Because I'm French)
-
We do have localized versions of the string tables (in game text) in French. We don't have the French Savant voices, however. Let me see if I can't get a French language.ini working.
-
Thx but videos and sounds are secondary...
Sorry I speak very bad English... :S
-
Actually, I didn't need to do any work to this extraction of the French strings to get it working (there was supposedly an off-by-one error in it). Unfortunately, the main menu is not translated by this. All in-game text is, however.
- Download this file: language-FR.ini (http://arklon.outpost2.net/downloads/language-FR.ini) (It's a text file, you may need to right click and click "save as", or whatever it is in French)
- Save it to your Outpost 2 directory
- Rename it to language.ini
-
thanks
The main menu is secondary too ^^

And can I have description's researches ... ?
Sorry my English is very bad...

Unfortunately, techs work differently. We don't have the French tech files, and even if we did, using them would make you unable to play multiplayer with other people using the English version.

Ok... :)

We could make them work. We'd need a french translation though, and some time to verify the files are equivalent as far as the game is concerned.
The only problem is the text gets checksummed along with the game data, hence changing the text changes the checksum. But, we can just use the same trick we're already using and fool the checksum.

Tech files are not checksummed (they should be, though), and if the techs are different in ANY way, the game will desync.
