I have been out for awhile and I recently have come up with a possibly interesting idea to post. I have had an idea on some new game types and I will them below
-
Other and none of the above are pretty much similar...
I think something that includes active team work (even if with an AI) would be nice.
-
How about "ALL of the above"?
-
All of these choices seem to deal with combat...
How about a game type that isn't combat-centric? So far what do we have, space race?
How about population rush or tech tree rush?
-
you know the space rush? well why not have it mirror the OP2 campaign:
2 players are deployed onto a large map, they are very far apart from each other (so as to downplay bashing each others brains out)
they start with the basic lab, bare bones
there is proportional mines
all natural disasters
and heres the kicker: you need to collect vital fragments of the Conestoga that are out in the wastes and store them in your space port. The other player can steal them, but you need to research special cargo trucks or something (this makes sure that neither player is pressured to get those parts immediatly)
after a certain amount of time, the blight will start approaching from top or bottom at a gentle rate then proceed to move in 'waves' this will start destabilizing the map so that volcanic eruptions and quakes become more frequent
both players can steal SULV/RLV's and starship modules from each other...
i dont know but it would spice up the space race
-
Sulv wouldmt work because they stand for : Single Use Launch Vehicle. unless they ride in a cargo truck. other than that i like it

Been there, done that. Working on a few more possibly.
