Title: Anti-orbital Weapons

Has it been suggested before?

A weapons that is an upgraded Eden Meteor defense, or a warhead riding on on SULV that destroys a player's choice of enemy satellite or does some damage to their starship.

it can blow up solid iron meteors how much more powerful does it need to be?  Messing with stuff in orbit seems to be also unwanted.  Other then put the sats up there.

That could be potentially very devastating if they were relying on solar power alone. You could pretty much knock out all their base defenses and production in one go. And they'd have no defense against it either, ... other than to not rely exclusively on solar power.

Hmm, come to think of it, that really makes solar power fairly useless. It'd also be a pain to be constantly losing your EDWARD satellite or whatever else you have up there. And to shoot down the other colony's spaceship? That just doesn't seem very Outpost like. They're fighting for the survival of the human race. Shooting each other's spaceships down seems like a very bad idea. You're pretty much dooming everyone to die. Mind you, I'm still thinking Outpost 2 and not OP3.

In short, I think the idea would unbalance the game too much, and I don't see how you could rebalance something like this.

I must agree with Freeza-CII and the Trix Rabbit on this one.... I've seen quite a few posts like this get shot down in a single day.... Some of them were mine!

We all just want to have a game which is a continuation of OP2 and is not a nuclear war type of game.

So before posting, you must feel Outpost 2. You must know the story, not the game play, but the story. You must understand how tense their situation was, you must understand how limited their capability of building  Weapons of Mass Destruction was.
