The idea of an AAA system requires that there be aircraft so here is a post where you can put your ideas.


My own ideas.

Vulture: Bomber
HP: 100
Armor: None
Speed: Very Fast
FP: 2 deploying bays: 8 MK.IV heavy starflare bombs
Common Ore: You choose
Rare Ore: You choose
Bithium Ore: Unsure if it will be implemented: 0

Sparrow: Fighter / Bomber
HP: 80
Armor: None
Speed: Super Fast
FP: 2 heavy MK. III microwave-laser hybrids
SFP: 1 deploying bay: 2 MK II light starflare bombs
Common Ore: You choose
Rare Ore: You choose
Bithium Ore: Unsure if it will be implemented: 0

Pheonix: Heavy Fighter
HP: 100
Armor: None
Speed: Ultra fast
FP: 2 direct fire weapons
Common Ore: You choose
Rare Ore: You choose
Bithium Ore: Unsure if it will be implemented: 0

Wasp: Heavy copter
HP: 120
Armor: Renforced Light
Speed: Medium
FP: 2 Weapons (Advise direct fire incase of hostile air units)
Common Ore: You choose
Rare Ore: You choose
Bithium Ore: Unsure if it will be implemented: 0

The reason air units should be added is...
A. Make use of AAA
B. Add realism
C. Provide new strategies and tactics
D. Provide new type of warfare
E. Add mobility
F. Provide transport across lava

Speaking of which a helicopter transport may be a good idea.

G. Provide quick strike warfare (I hate Gurilla warfare it seems so sheepish to hit and run... Fight like a warrior face the enemy!)
H. Provide a first line of defens
I. Could knock out defense structure in a preinvasion mission

No matter how you try to balance out aircraft and AA defenses, they won't work very well at all in Genesis due to the atmosphere of Cythera.

Wasn't there an agreement that there WILL not be any aircraft any any else flying thingies in op2/3?

This thread will pretty much be set aside till we know that there will be air units.

its likely that we won't have offensive air units. They can be destroyed too easily (as mentioned in another thread) and would thus be useless in enemy-controled areas.

There might be a transport-aircraft though. I'm not sure if it has been mentioned already.
