Title: Scheduled Downtime
Post by: Galactic on February 14, 2007, 08:37:30 PM
System Engineers will be conducting maintenance on our VPS node on Saturday February 17th. During the maintenance window, we will notice a period of service loss on the network while a new kernel is loaded on the node. Although the downtime is only expected to be no more than 15 minutes, we have allotted a maintenance window of 4 hours. Please note that once the node is online, each VPS must boot up individually.

Date: February 17th 2006 (2/17/2007)

Start time (EDT): 9:00pm

End time (EDT): 1:00am

Services affected: VPS

Location: dal01

The previously scheduled maintenance for our VPS node has been cancelled. The maintenance will be rescheduled.

It might have happened today. It appears that the VPS restarted twice (I had to manually restart ircd both times).

Thanks for the notification. It was a bit odd being out of touch like that.
