Can I ask 2 things:
1. Does confirming an alliance take up a move?
2. Can we have the reference marks that are on the top and down the left also on the bottom and down the right (makes it easier to get your reference instead of having to trace across half the map...)
-
Making an alliance DOES use up a move.
I will add the tile reference to the other side of the map.
Please do not make posts unless it is to ask a direct question or to make a move.
-
I don't remember seeing anything about this in the rules, is there a limit on how far we can move in a compas direction?
-
All this was right there in the rules. You can only move 1 tile per move. You get 3 moves per round. Nobody can make another move until the round is over and cannot make corrections. Making alliances, breaking alliances cost one move each.
-
how long do we wait before we say someone "lost connection"?

Lynx 1 to SB 5
Lynx 2 to VB 8
Request alliance with Cyan (CK9)
PS: DM, could you please send me the file via yousendit or e-mail? I'm aarontheknight@gmail.com

Is our illustrious DM MIA ?
woah.... 2/5ths of my post are acronyms...
Edit: Acronyms, NOT TLAs.. sheesh
-
I know its not the right thread, but BUMP!
Where are you DM-Horus - are we getting our game on or what ?
-
Mind if I bump this thread again? What's happening with this game?
-
Are we goin' to play, or just go off topic?
RESUME THE GAME ALREDY!!!
-
when my computer HD died i lost the PSD file for the map. basically we would have to start over.
-
Fine with me :D
Should see if anyone else wants to join if we're restarting...
-
OK dude. It's fine.
-
I don't mind restarting, we barely got through the first turn.
-
just remember to backup the file this time
-
to a CD-RW?? thats going a bit far. I had this backed up on my backup disk but for some reason when I pulled the disk into my newly-formatted computer, the disk crashed and became unusable. Thats why Im unable to produce my precious logs or even my 3d models!! pretty much everything i had worth keeping for the last 3 years was lost.
-
Damn... bad luck...
Maybe this will make you feel better:

thats all very well and good but to how many different mediums do you have your stuff on? i add to my documents every day, id end up with thousands of CD-RW. you never expect a backup drive to simply not work when you unplug it.
-
If at first it doesn't work - turn it on. If it still doesn't work, plug it in!
Perhaps an external HDD for daily backups, and DVD-Rs for monthly? Remember, I don't think you would be backup up your OS, just your stuff.
When I get a desktop, I'll have it either with 3 HDDs or 3 partitions - #1 = OS, #2 = Apps and #3 = Docs. Only then really need to backup #3, which would only get large with media, such as lots of pics, music or video - and those don't really change much - just get added to, so an incremental backup would decrease the need for excessive storage space (1 full backup, then each backup afterwards would only be the changes - ie and files that have changed, any new files, etc)
-
... until 100 discs later you find you need to restore it all. Then you stick the original one in, and start applying the incremental updates from the next 99 CDs. Not exactly a fun way to do things.
-
exactly hooman. Id rather keep rolling updates on one set of files than mess with hundreds of CD's. i used to do exactly that but i had a case box full of unlabeled CDs with all the same data on them.
but honestly id rather develop a flash version of this or something. i just dunno how to sync more than one player or create an instance that ppl can log into. if its anything other than a flash anim, i wouldnt be able to post it on the forum and that was kinda the whole point.
