How difficult would it be to code up a spectator mode for multiplayer?
When you leave the op2 main screen alone for a few seconds, a demo plays. Could this simply be exploited? Spec would be really handy for tournaments and anyone who just wants to study tactics. Is this possible?

ive also wondered that, it would be a really nice feature

just join a multi game, and make sure no one is gonna attack you.

ya but i meant a spectator mod e that doesnt take up player count. its impossible to have a 3v3 with spectators, for example. having a seperate spectator category wouldnt take up player slots. and you wouldnt have to worry about a spectator deciding to compete.
-
wudn't you have to "add player slots" and just not give those players buildings or vechs.
Like if they were all destroyed in a multigame.

There is a spectator mode its called joining the game and not giving any one your vecs hehehe.
Spectator option check box. Like there is a eden and a ready check box that basicly give no base and no vecs. Personally i dont think that is fun because i like to build a base while i spectate

i wanted to have 2, 4 player maps have spectators, have the last players that join as spectators, they have no units or buildings.

You could probably do that in the DLL.
