Title: New Here But Not New To The Game

what’s up guys?  I use to play the piss out of OP1 and 2.  recently I bought the games again off ebay and have enjoyed OP1.  however OP2 would not work correctly even in compatibility mode with XP.  I can click the start new campaign button but after that I cannot click anything else.  I was searching for updates and found this site.  I found the service pack 1 at fileplanet but haven’t found the second or third one I had read about.  I am currently downloading the latest one you all have :D   hope it fixes my problem.

hey welcome and i hope that you download IRC and Hamachi and play some online games with us would be fun could use another player

I hope you get things working.  OP2 works great on my XP machine and my win2000 machine.

Suggest you try a fresh install of XP, nothing else.  You can dual boot to either, op2 is worth a stand alone install of XP if that is what it takes to make it work.  I had to do this recently to beta test Rise of Legends.

You can't click anything at all?? That sounds weird, OP2 seems to work very well on XP, only problem I know is with the difficulty buttons not turning yellow until you hit alt.

Remember that our OP2 download is a stand alone version, do not install it directly on top of your old version.

Also, come on IRC sometime, maybe someone on there can help you :) (maybe even get a game in multiplayer ;))

I'm assuming you mean that none of the radio buttons light up?
Try pressing "alt" on the campaigns menu.
OP2 works fine, XP just doesn't like it.
Look around for the permanant fix... I forget where it is.

ok it was the Alt button thing.  I will try to join a few games after I relearn to play lol
