Title: Human Infantry Unit

Human Infantry Unit

Originally proposed by Voyager7456 (http://forum.outpostuniverse.net/index.php?showtopic=2067&st=0&#entry39239)

Related ideas:

- none

Description:

very weak, wouldn't show up on the Minimap. Maybe not even detected/auto-attacked by Guardposts.

This is a bad idea, because:

- human lives are too precious to sacrifice them in battles.

I can imagine the savant saying:

"Human Destroyed"

But... what if you can just run them over?  I mean, drive into them.

Sugestion: instead of common infantry it could be either spy or sapper. Because I do not think that a slingshot will damage those tank (having a laser weapon good enough to do actual damage and be man held is impossible). What do you think?

Specially cloned Clone Troopers. Too short a lifespan to be useful in the actual colony though.

They're special clones because about 50% of colonists are clones anyways, right?
BUt it'd be unethical because they'd be "grown" in vats, and it would hurt morale because people don't like the idea of humans being grown in vats like plants are grown in vats in the Agridome.

haha, it would be more like...I like the spying idea, but we don't want to get it too much like Red Alert 2 (even though it's a good game). Hmm, I still like my orignal idea that having ambient animations of colonists coming out of tubes or such, and doing small "repairs" on them in places... haha, an arc welder and all that. :)
