Technology Create By Usage Over Time Of Stuff

Description:
My Idea has several part for it to work. Yes it way for infinity tech.


Part 1[/size]
Have you ever notice that at place that live in overtime you start to notice problems with it or simply layout of how did it you come better way to make more functional.
All the buildings and the units as there use over time would somepoint problems found out about them, which for simplice label in to two catergories Fix, Improvenment.

Fix's[/size]
Fix is for problem that are found out that cause problems with Functionallity of structer so that won't be as effiecient in purpose.
We will have 2 levels Fix's:[ol type=\'1\'][li]. Major problem: it is a critque fallow in it and required immediaded attenion to fix it. (Chance that may required immedia researching of it to fix it)[/li][li]. Minor problem: some problem with it that does not hasto  repair right away[/li][/ol]Improvenment[/size]
Face it there no such thing as perfect thing & there always people come way that could improve it becasue there are not satisfed with it.[ol type=\'1\'][li]Major improvement: all I has say there come some time a idea required big change in it that requred lot work-Research required[/li][li]Minor Improvement: all requured a small change in it [/li][li]. Disaster: when disaster happen to it you get loads of improvend to help slow it down ,so that people can escape from building or prevent the disaster from effecting it[/li][/ol]Part 2 ok so tones problems how is handled[/size]
Ok so now we have list all fixes, improvement and how urgent they are.
Major improvement,Major problem(small chance that get pick for must reserch) will be able do research on them singled.

As for rest of Fixes and improvement like after 100 of them.  Then you be able research new version of structure or units.  Thrus now will be able to produce or build it.

Part 3 What do about fixes need immendiaded attention[/size]
obvously emergcy Responce building would try solve proble having.

This is a good idea, because:
-definitely sounds like fun.
-add more infinite path to technology

This is a bad idea, because:
-because can't us max ability of buildings and units sometimes

Wow, I personally think this is a really really (8 times) great idea. it is pure genious. It could be compere to a moral ad-on and thus give another step of complexity into a rts and this is why i like op2 because it is hard.

Moral meter guess for work that too but Actual more on indivual building and units . Like Major problem in struture factory your pproduction of kits would go down drasticly.

(What even more amazing is that remember idea from thought of it waiting for sleep to come lol)

so what youre suggesting is basically that new technologies become available only after a certain amount of time and only when your colony has come to a certain level of complexity? that sounds sort of like the "ages" in age of empires series. i love this idea.

ppl should look at this idea and see if we could flesh out some details and maybe start working on some of it. it could be an addon we provide so that it wouldnt interfere with the original gameplay of op2.

actual nope not essesen of idea
which get technology when bulding or units have problem with them(which total random thing)

Those random event could influence moral based upon the gravity of the situation.

my sugestion about it would be that in the standard/advanced lab there is a tab where there is the actuall tech tree and another tab where there is flaw/problem research.

Lets say that each game you play you build many lynx laser well you can be lucky and  in the design there is no flaw, or bad luck and your rate of fire is down because of a flaw in  the cooling device.

Quite. I didn't understand parts of it, I'm afraid, but the idea on the whole is extremely interesting. Not to mention intricate. Wouldn't this require the use of probability, as well as Cause and Effect code?

Nevertheless, I'd love to help in this (when the time comes, of course. I'm hoping I know a bit more about coding when we get to the mods. I'd love to help mod stuff... Bwahahahaha....)

... I'll make a reference to "The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy". In the book that said book talks about, which, oddly enough, has the same title, there are two words that appear on the cover. It actually says "Don't Panic", but I often make it work for me. In other words, I'm just elaborating too much on what I want to say because I'm bored.

In other words, Don't Worry. We'll help! And Telly and Stormy will too... If I can find Telly and drag him by the ea- I mean... Erm... Get him here... Yeah, that's it!
