Post by: Leviathan on February 25, 2006, 02:32:24 PM
Anyone had any experience with using multiple screens using linux?

Id like to use linux on my main desktop but only if I can use many screens :P

Are there any apps which can do config for this etc?

Thx

why don't you just try? get knoppix and test, how many screens are supported.
From what I have read, multiple screens are supported by the X server.

yes, multiple screen are supported. be advised though- i am not sure if video accel will function for all, if any, unless you have a seperate x for each.

EDIT: no, there is no video accel for multiple monitors unless ur on a seperate x server for each. however, on a single card with 2 outputs scenario you will be able to use accel.
