Title: I P B Ibstore Issues

I need help with the ibstore now, i click the "on" button and it won't appear, and it's not the skin, i tried. Any ideas?

hmm I have no clue, I might be able to find out if I had access but you have already made it clear that Hacker and Lev are the only people you trust  :lol:

ibstore is a POS. sounds like ya dont have it installed right, try again. its really buggy tho and full of holes...req's quite a bit of php knowledge mysql etc

I have like 0 knowledge of php, so uhh maybe hacker can do it for me? He said b4 that he aint doin nehting for me ne more, but this is getting insane now, i tried so many things, and nothing worked out.

edit: OMG OMG i wasted my 1 and only name clor thingy, i accidently clicked use becuase i was trying to see if you could put in your own code, and then i pressed enter, but it made the item go into use, ahh ill have to use the ibstore on MY forum to actualy USE it properly when i can edit my mistakes :angry:

sounds like you have over used Hacker help  :P


you can try going to the invision power board code support forum, They might be able to help you there



 if I tell you were Xfir is, Are you going to start asking him a lot of questions about your forum?
because I don't think he is in the mood to be bothered by a lot of forum, php questions.

This is very simple.

Once the IBStore mod is installed, or any other mod for that matter it needs to be added to any skins you have on your forum so that people can acess it.

Just add it to your skins and people can use it.

I just gave you the answer. Go investigate how you need to do it. The IBStore readme would be a good start...

IPBStore is quite a b****. I suggest not using it at all. I'm highly knowledgable in PHP and MySQL, and I had to actually contemplate installation of it a while ago. It's not for the faint of heart. However this was several versions ago.

I digress, How big is your forum (users?), Unless you've got a bunch of people requesting it, and a lot of traffic, I just suggest not using it.

OHH ok, so from what i  gather since the start:

IBStore won't work because of the skin files.

I'd google that answer, perhaps the IPB ib store mode forums, but i have no idea where they would be.

The OPU team as a whole are not going to help you with issues that you obviously have no clue how to do or use. You your-self have stated that you have no PHP knowledge.  But to edit skin files, you will need PHP knowledge.

My suggestion is that you first try to learn PHP, or at least how to edit pre-written PHP code.  I am currently using http://www.php.net/manual/en/tutorial.php (http://www.php.net/manual/en/tutorial.php)
to help me learn my first PHP webpage coding.

We will offer help to problems that you may come across e.g. I want to do <this> i have tried this <method>, using this <code>, its not working, ive tried to edit <this> and <this2> any ideas.
Those kind of problems we might choose to help you with.

We will not help with "What do i need to edit in skin files" We always suggest google, and if the answers you geta re too complex for you to understand, then you need to step back and learn more PHP code first, so that you do understand

Note that we wont help you with the syntax of commands either, they can easily be found on google, or with a bit of trial and error.

I believe all the modifications you need to do are in the install HTML file that comes with IBStore. It will say to edit something in /Skin/s#/skin_global.php I think, you need to do that. It doesn't automatically show the link for you.
