In lieu of the reunion I have begun to make a series of videos ala red vs. blue about OP2 using stop-motion. Mostly made out of cardboard cutouts, cotton balls, toothpicks and elmer's glue, I for one welcome our new paper mache` overlords who command the battlefield from their styrofoam command center.
Microwave beams will be made out of pipe cleaners and sparkles.
This will be the main development thread for all future releases.

quality!

if you need any help let me know ;)
I've made 6 or so with legos :P

Holy flipping crap.
You guys are dedicated. I've got alot of cardboard... lol
This sounds very pimpin'. Stop-motion takes forever doesn't it? It'd be easier with a regular camera and just taking pictures at regular intervals.

id like to make some cg computer models of a lynx to add in there. some particle effects should spice it up.

While you're at it, maybe some Outpost Universe pancakes, lol

I've got one made already, just not with a skin. You can see what it looks like in the video I am planning on releasing today (if it renders in time).

HAPPY REUNION!!!

LOL i would have sugest music also :P .... it is not april fool day tho :P:P

Really, I think it would be cool to see a claymation version of OP2. (Except there'd be a lot of detail to do to make a clay lynx or whatever)
As for actually taking the pictures, there is software that lets you do it more easily (iStopMotion comes to mind, but only if you have a yucky mac)
I'm sure windows apps exist that do the same.

wish someone had said something about this 2 years ago when i was still heavily into warhammer 40K + 40K terrain making

i made a cly figure that looks kinda like a eden university out of modeling clay.
BTW, I have stuff to make Warhammer 40K terrain

it would be awesome if we could do a serial claymation movie of op2. everyone does a claymation sequence lasting say, 1-5 minutes and then we stitch them together. hrm. ppl need to get some digital cameras and some clay.....
