I downloaded a skin from invisionize, it was "blood red" now what on earth do i do with the file??? How do i add/set it to the forum?
THANKS!

I don't know if invisionfree permits skin uploads. Did you download an Invision 1.3 skin? That is the version the free places tend to have. I don't have a 1.3 free version (from hosted-forum [I wouldn't recommend them]) anymore, so I really can't walk you through. If I recall correctly, you can go to the template page, and there is a field for uploading the template html/xml. Then there is uploading the wrapper at the wrapper section of the Skin section of your Admin CP. Then there is the CSS upload. Then you have the macro upload.

Hmm, there's no senction to add one from a single file, you have to do every single img manually i think, anyone else got help?
Yes i am using invision 1.3

Well, with a skin there are the following components: the template (xml or html) the wrapper (txt or htm), the css file (.css I think), and the macros (a txt file). If all you have is images, then things are complicated, and it is kind of hard to explain how to make a macro file.

No, i got on file for the entire skin, how do i upload it?
-
Okay, is the file a rar or zip? What is the file name?
-
Use a FTP client like FlashFXP.
So what's the url of your forum?
-
the file is a TAR, and the website is: http://s15.invisionfree.com/The_Friend_Palace/ (http://s15.invisionfree.com/The_Friend_Palace/)
not much done on it yet, but it's a start, so got any ideas, mayb you can join and be an admin and add it for me?
THANKS

That is a compressed archive. You need to get a program to extract the needed files.
