I have an ancient keyboard that has the letters coming off. Like the ink on the buttons is gone!
<<<< PS2

lol, at the high school I went to we used to switch the letters around on the keyboards. None of the staff said anything about it untill someone made a keyboard say F*CK

i refuse to use USB keyboards since windows xp sp2 has documented problems with usb devices at boot. my old usb keyboard would work at login, but when i signed on to my username, the keyboard and mouse would not work until i restarted. input only worked 1/2 the time. lame.

usb, laptop keyboards and main comp also has ps2 mouse and keyboard
-
horus, you must have a damaged copy, 'cause I have 5 USB devices plugged into my lapytop at all time with XP sp2

i still have a bunch of 5-pin DIN (at-style) keyboards. i accidentally selected the wrong answer :( this pc actually has a ps/2 connector.

i have a whole box of old keyboards. I keep them because of ther strange key configurations.
Mostly i use a old ps/2 IBM keyboard that has a RJ45 at one end of its cable. Its also one of them you can take the key covers off and move them around.

in my lycée's informatic room, there is a lot of keyboards; I had classified them in three categories:
-the keyboards "springs" when one press a button, he isn't stopped by the bottom of the keyboard, but he's stopped in medium of race by "somethink" probably a spring... I don't like these keyboards because I miss the keys and I must all time delete my words
-the keyboards "monopolized" they're black, pretty, the keys aren't gone up on springs... and they're the first taken :'(
-the steel keyboards: the keys must be pressed strong to go down, and their increase isn't guarantee, and after use the fingers hurt... I prefer the monopolized keyboards (thumbsup)

CK9 - naw, its a documented issue with xp and is somewhat common. also, my computer doesnt seem to suffer from it but others do. its got something to do with certain mobos, drivers, devices and only happens with input devices. ill look up the microsoft help center issue # if you like.
