You think there is some way that some one can have any color they want. if this is going to have any visuals at all. because all that really is needed to know who is attacking.
-
You will be told when you are attacked and by who.
As for colors i gess you can pick any color for your units/base like in op2.
Your colony name when shown in sector view you cant chose the color, but there will be diferent colors. Eg players in protection/newbie status wil be in a different color than others.

i would imagine that depending upon how the game is made, it should be possible (and easy) to allow users to set their color using the windows (or like type) color palette.
-
yea very easy to implement.
-
Well i just hope there is more colors to supplment the normal op2 colors lol.
-
Lol. This seems like a pretty irrelevant topic. :P
And yeah, it's easy to do that color palette selection like suggested, but it's not very game like. Kinda reminds me of the original AOE. It looked too "application" like to really be a game. It sorta detracted from the gameplay feeling.
Besides, I've always liked being told exactly who is attacking me, and not just some color. It helps keep me from retaliating against the wrong person.

Its the little things that count Hooman. Having your own color that you pick from large pallete would be nice.
