Oh wow, it does bring back memories... I remember posting there.

Yeah, I've spoken to him on AIM recently.. told him about our latest progress. He seems to ignore the thought of getting on IRC with us sometime (I asked him about it and he sorta dodged the question)

Let's see. The last things we talked about were mapping (I told him about my map editor) and he gave me some suggestions. He suggested a world game, much like WD but it would be run differently. More like an MMORPG of sorts.

He's still friendly but seems sorta out of touch with OPU. (He wasn't aware of the things we've done like writing new missions, etc... I gave him the url, no clue if he did visit or not). Did get him up to speed on a lot of things though.

He's pretty hard to catch online, but sometimes you can do it.

I used to talk to him now and again, mainly i would talk to Ttam all the time and work on stuff with him.

I never was a regular at the NHCS forums.

It was definately a calmer, nicer forum.  No offence guys, but it was a more relaxed forum population.

Well how could we make this a 'calmer nicer' forum? I think if the atmosphere was better back then, we should try to make it better now.

Or is that just a side effect of having less people in the community? (Or possibly knowing less about the game than we do now)

I was never around for the "old, old" forums (the UBB forums) but I was around during the last few months of the boardpower ones.

Some differences I might also make; my name was in all capitals. (Not that it matters; just something I remember)

yep i rememeber it.  didn't it eventually disappear to be replaced by the DO website?
