For those who don't know yet:  I'm doing a little vid thing for OP2 (status markings at bottom of page)

Right now, I'm working on what song to use.  Don't want it to be too long or too short.  I want even those who like me have dial-up to be able to download it within a reasonable amount of time.

so, if you have a suggestion, post it here.  Please include a URL so that I may hear it.

Four songs I'm considering:
AFI, "...But Home is Nowhere" (http://www.xfir.net/ck9/AFI%20...But%20Home%20Is%20Nowhere.wma) (sorry, this one's wma because I had to separate the three songs in the same track from the CD, and Goldwave can't save as MP3)
Lucky Luciano, "Carry On" (http://www.xfir.net/ck9/Lucky%20Luciano%20-%20Carry%20On.mp3)
Sence of Purpose, "Falling" (http://www.xfir.net/ck9/Sense%20Of%20Purpose%20-%20Falling.mp3)
Something x Inside, "Love Song" (http://www.xfir.net/ck9/Something%20Inside%20-%20Love%20Song.mp3)

also, I will need help from you guys with some of the vid scenes.  If someone would like to help me get a massive unit fight, please PM me (serriously, I need this one for it or the whole thing is pointless)

I think the perfect song would be   Eye of the Tiger - Survivor.

It talks about how he was once great and he lost his fame and is going through the process of rediscovering it. He draws all of his analogies to a Tiger ( a convenient OP2 unit).

Good idea to make such vid

As for the songs, I don't exactly like them. If I had to coose from the 4 you posted it'd be AFI, "...But Home is Nowhere"
I can't rate Eye of the Tiger without having listened to it.
You can also combine several songs in the vid.

As for the help.. I'm already PM'ing you.

I've heard Eye of the Tiger in the Rocky movies (I like AMC).

A Fire Inside has some other songs that might work, but I'd have to 'borrow' some of my Sis's CD's (I make copies to save money, lmao)

You know where I can listen to it?  If it ain't online legally* free, I can't get a hold of it.



*legally includes personal sites that individuals make (I got an entire CD that way, lol)

and.. uhm.. I like the first song better than second.

and you should have used xvid, not wmv to compress it.

can you possibly make it into maybe an mpeg-4 format? That format is more widely used today. :D

Actually, WMV is very quickly becoming the standard for internet streaming video.

for the last time G.D.!  I can't change the filetype save.  I also have no means to convert it (and I better not hear virtual dub, 'cause that program sucks and won't let me do anything, saying I don't have codecs I know G.D. well I do).  If someone else wants to save the file and change it, be my guest.  Though If I find you re-distributing it with any other changes I'll kick your @$$

lol, you may have the decoding bits but not the encoding bit; and virtualdub pwnz.

BUT there only one prolem. M$ is b****y about that format[asf/wmv], and so you cant extract it with a 3rd party app[virtualdub]. :((

only way here is to get a better composing app.
