Hehe, it could take people :P lynx are controled by computers, but scouts did have a small person hatch/compartment.

We could use a 3D modeler!

Used Swift3D 4.5 for both...Yeah, very new to Outpost2 and wouldn't mind doing models, only problem is the models can't be exported to a common format like .x,.obj,.3DS...etc. I've played OP2 about 3 times...love it! I normally play RPGs or mechwarrior type games...but if ya need something let me know and I'll see what I can do :D

Post by: Eddy-B on June 22, 2005, 10:15:24 AM: Exporting it to 8 jpeg (or bmp's for all i care) is all you'd need, and you seem to be able to do that. OP2 uses 8 bitmapsfor each unit anyway (not entirely true, since the turrets can move seperately, but u get my point).

op2hacker:Thanks, I can export .swf or .fla for game stuff ( if only I had Flash MX) as far as plugins go I haven't seen any.

Leviathan: Thanks, the front window is for ....a..er...scaning equipment and comunication stuff.

I just wish I could edit the game bitmap errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! or create map tile stuff...I CAN'T CODE so I'm at the mercy of those that can.Yes, I can do different maps and stuff, but I perfer from the ground up creation. Any of yall ever hear of OGRE by Steve Jackson? love that game...wish there was a pc version. It's not as deep as OP2 but fun.

What Eddy means is if u can take the shots needed from above, the different angles your on your way to puting it into OP2.

But currently we cant edit the game graphics, just view them, with a art viewer, Cynex and Hooman have made these.

You should try reproducing a standard Lynx.

However they are more "heavy armor" so they move slower, and then tigers, with tank tracks go the slowest (and dual turrets)

Convecs, Cargo trucks are wheeled, Earthworkers tracked.

OK,did this in about a half hour...it's just the base of the unit so I can then add the laser unit,rail gun...etc. I tried to get as close to the original as possible...community input welcome and needed.
I would have had it done sooner but a power outage from 4 to 930pm slowed things down.

And I've always loved that lynx pic, but have you ever noticed the wheel spacing? It doesn't quite look that way in the game. And no, I don't think that pic is in the art files. Where did it come from anyways?

I think it was one of the released promotinal pics or somthing. I couldnt find the larger version on my comp so I got that one from Gamespot website.
