Ok guys I want to make some new multiplayer maps. I would like some input so I don't waste my time making something nobody will play. I have only a basic grasp of .dll editing but I do't think I could no anything trigger intensive.(that Includes AI) . (But perhaps a more experienced .dll editor could add some stuff.
Ideas please! Pictures are super awesome. :D :D :op2: :D :D

I got some ideas which need making... maybe u could help.
As for new ideas... hmm
A map, possibly land rush where most of the ore is in the center of the map between the players.
A releatively open map for open combat but still easyly defendable entrances to bases.. 128x128 size
Cant think of n e thing else rite now.

Well I can do any ideas really. So if someone needs maps for a campaign or something, I can do it.
Anyways Levi, I have a 256 by 256 map which has each player on a cliff section with 3 small entrances. I could modify this (its barely started, only the player locations are done) so that there is maybe only 2 entrances to each base and the map is 128 by 128. It will be LoS.

Lev are you talking about a Land Rush version of the Colosium map with the ore mostly towards the center?

Shuffles how about keep going with ur idea to get used to maping. Its nice to make your own map anyway :)
tips: just make it fair for each location.

Quite frankly, it took me long ehough to make a 128 by 128 map. I was considering reducing it anyways. Besides, its almost done now, and it is pretty much what I had in mind when I started it.
If I start a 256 by 256 it is so huge and I'd liekly not finish because I would get bored lol.

128x128 maps r far better. 256 too big. stick to 128 tbh :)
-
Yeah I'd have to agree, 128x128 are easier to make and easier to manage in-game (no need to scroll the minimap to see things).
Hopefully when I get Mapper v2 out it will greatly decrease the amount of time it will take to create a map.
