Title: Major Natfix bug...
Post by: Tellaris on January 30, 2005, 03:52:12 PM
Major problem with Natfix.   Router owners no longer can host, and it seems to be causeing some problems.   Mainly, it dosn't allow hosting, AT ALL.
I can't even play myself anymore!!
What happens?   You get the required 2 player minimum.   Try to start, and what happens?   Game exits.   And the other player gets the "Host has stopped responding" message.    This dosn't seem to effect single player, and I think it might be causing some of the random drops that some people seem to get now.

We are already aware of this and it will be fixed (soon). I think it's failing to return or something like that, raising an invalid instruction exception. (You won't necessarily get a crash, it might just exit like you mentioned).

In the meantime, use the old NAT fix (which will still work, it makes a direct patch to the OP2 exe rather than an on load patch like it currently tries to). If you don't have a copy you can get it from the 1.3.1 update package.
